So I am tired of waiting on OZ_eve to do a PI sheet and podcast, 
My sheets have been having issues all day, I figure most are from me constantly asking the server to update my PI information as I copy or move the formula all over the page.
I am trying to locate PI products I have throughout the galaxy, so in item hangers, corps hangers, contracts, even ship cargo holds, and then sum that up to give me how much I need to place a buy order to cover next month.
Excel crash maybe five or six times throughout the World Series…
as I type this forum entry…
EVEONLINE.CHARACTER_PLANETS(me), to get the colonies and the ID, then
EVEONLINE.CHARACTER_PLANT(me,Planet) has been stuck in the #busy! mode.

The PI endpoint for the ESI is famously lousy. PI information only updates when you actually check it in game. It will usually be wrong. I suspect it’s cycling busy because the ESI is throwing errors back at the Excel plug in.
Is the PI interface done: or is there updates coming to the spreadsheet?
The cycling busy seems to have also been tied into my network ISP being very poor that day.
Having to actually view it in-game ‘before’ it updates in the spreadsheet…? As contracts are delivered and moved around the spreadsheet will update but there seems to be some type of delay, similar to the server bounty ticks.

Unfortunately, this is a limitation of CCPs ESI endpoint for PI, not the spreadsheet app.
The Excel plug-in can only return what the ESI will give, it. You can find the documentation for the ESI here if you want to understand more about what’s going on under the hood.
