Player Socialization Checkups (by Rushlock)

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing him calling the anti-social people out on their behavior, and talking to those engaged in the MMO.

It also sounds like he’s onboarding a brand new rookie onto Eve as well, this is pretty cool to watch.

wtf, this Rushlock guy is doing Gods work.

It was nice watching the rookie‘s gears turn as he learned the difference between a themepark MMO and a sandbox one. He was only familiar with WoW and GW2 and not UO nor EverQuest so he had to get some preconceived ideas abandoned and rectify it with how he approached the game. Really neat. Similar to Dan Olson‘s criticism of WoW‘s meta culture and its toxic hatred of anything nonconformist (a great academic video to watch).

Removed several off topic and inappropriate posts.

Why are the miners so angry about Rushlock and his incredible method to integrate newcomers into a healthy environment before they end like a carebear and uninstalling out of boredom?

Io_Koval managed (unintentionallly) to harvest a huge bunch of salt here.

Well, time to educate some miners myself.

I once had an example of someone from the “but think of the newbies” anti-ganking mindset deliberately hoping newbies quit the game in a “cut off the nose to spite the face” sort of sore attitude, but I can’t quite seem to find it.

Anyway, I hope there are more rookies that start as miners than abyssal runners or mission runners as that means they have a better chance of getting onboarded into the social aspect of the game via the Rushlock-style method.

My Chad was performing some marketing check up while in station Jita moon 4 when he was randomly invited to a fleet by some fluffy bunny 2005 pilot though Chad was busy so he had decided to decline the fleet and amt the same time sent a private message to that fluffy bunny pilot
asking ;

//Are random fleet invites normal as the same with random questions relating to their pilot?

We are yet to see a response and feel it might had been a misunderstanding in the question.

Why this is not a criticism , your still killing mission running as usual, so when are you going to educate some miners.

Or why not join rush, his fleets are open and he needs skilled people , the other day it was like herding cats
