I only experience it on login and when I close off planet view. Every minimized windows will then pop to the foreground and I will have to close or minimize them again.
I managed to fix this by clicking the more button (three vertical dots), then enabling “always above fullscreen views”, and then “Minimize Stack”. The chat window will not reopen by itself again after closing other windows like skills or map or randomly.
Sadly, not all windows have this option but most do.

doesnt seem to help with wallet window, asset window, market window and people and places window. they just keep reopening on session change no matter what i do. but not all windows on all characters. just weird
okay this has gone on long enough. today my wallet opened on one of my accounts every time i undocked, or opened the PI window, i cleared my cache. it still happens, BUT not on all the characters on that account. on another character, the asset window and people and places window reopen on session changes. Can we get some kind of response from CCP on this>?

Same issue since 20.06 update. Nothing big or obnoxious, simply closing the old map with F10 or ESC results in the last opened window popping up again (market, fitting, etc). Doesn’t happen when using the appropriate “close window” button in the map interface.

Have also been experiencing this frustrating UI problem, when returning from fullscreen windows.
its really bizarre, it doesnt just happen on session changes. if you are doing PI and click the access button to interact with the poco, the wallet and asset windows reopen. And if i hear one more person tell me to clear my cache i think i will scream. it does NOT make the problem go away
I’d Simply love to know the cure to KEEP chat windows in Dark mode…
I am old - I have grown to accept this over the years but it’s just easier for me to read white text on a black background but my client refuses to remember this… Perhaps it’s anticipating my later life memory loss ???
For What It’s Worth - I also have issues with un-wanted windows opening.
Seems to be a VERY low on the list bug for CCP to Fix as they transition to the new UI.
or have chat windows retain settings like font size and show text only ccp is obsessed with us reclicking on things just to put them back the way we had them the previous time we used them. see my threads on STOP THE CLICKS
