PLEX is very expensive right now thread

Expiration dates on PLEX? 90 days?

That would make them un-stackable lol. If their attributes are at all different from each other. You couldn’t sell them under a market category either, it would have to be contracts. In stacks limited to ones that were purchased together.

Nah since this would kill a shitload of PLEX already in the system and make a lot of people rage. You just have to make them only go on the market once and the speculation will end. People would buy PLEX only in quantity they can effectively use instead of huge stack they can resell anyway. Copy the WoW token where you can put on the AH once and anyone who buy it for gold can only use it on their account.

Feed them little money, so they have just not enough and buy PLEX to cover the rest…

Just remove NPC bounties and then the inflation problem is solved. Reappropriate the income to be dealt in the form of loot so there’s more chance for others to interfere. This also would make carrier ratting more dangerous because they’d have to sit still on an MTU as opposed to being aligned.

We also need the NullSec sov mechanics to be changed ENTIRELY because as it stands it’s nothing but a carebear wonderland.

This goes along with some ideas I have been pondering. First I have heard rumors that CCP is going to remove loot from all kills and instead drop BPC’s of what is now dropping and components to build them with. Along those lines you could drop bounties and instead you would basically gun mine. The null sec components could be used to build capital ships/modules, pirate ships/modules, and structures. This would provide a buffer for high sec industrualists.

Second, I think that sov upgrades should have a time based diminishing returns system. The high rate of gathering resources is great of you are at war, but long periods of it devalue those rewards. Make a system where you have to constantly take territory to gain the best upgrade benefits.

that would be interesting

Which would be relevant, if the issue with ratting had anything to do with personal income, but it didn’t - it has to do with the generation of new isk, which is a different matter entirely.

Just to copy a discussion from the old forum…

"I was wondering what’s all been said concerning the issue with not being able to remotely move one’s plex to their plex vault?

(If you were wondering, no, I’m NOT currently moving 50,000 plex from Jita to Amarr in a Velator, but thanks for asking)"

And no, it still isn’t fixed.

Why is there even bounties in low and null sec if Concord pays them?

These rumors are over a year old. CCP hasnt even announced an official discussion about it. They watched the ISK faucets pour trillions into the game for a year. They even nerfed or removed ISK sinks (i.e. repairing is now free at citadels).

Either they dont care about the inflation and the efffects on the economy or the inflation is intendend.

Maybe they want the nullbears to have tons of ISK for skill injectors, so that they can do more bait and switch in the future. Im sure they would also love to see more people start SP farm accounts, because they pay 3x more than a regular player and cause no server load.

That worked so well for the drone regions that CCP removed it.

I for one would love to see rats in nul have no bounty, only drop mods.

Well in the drone regions a slight increase in the chance of ‘augmented’ drone bpc’s being dropped at a research facility would be nice.

Why would a carrier need to sit on an MTU?
First off they have a lock range of 4500K. Once the anom is triggered they don’t need to be there.
Second, presuming the MTU is in the anom so are the carriers fighters. Anyone trying to destroy the MTU is likely in for a little surprise.
Third, I use an alt to collect loot and salvage.

Oh and if you want to see players quit in droves, go ahead and remove bounties and replace them with loot drops - that will become worthless after the first few days because the markets are flooded with the items… All you need do is look at the drops from the recent event, an Erebus skin worth 5 million isk because there are just too many of them available. Now turn that into THOUSANDS of limited item loot drops from anoms an hour - You have a failing market and players quitting because they just can’t make isk.

Bounties are needed but what is also needed is the ability to kill those trying to earn them.

As for diminishing returns on sov - Not a good idea, you would be handing all of Sov to the largest groups in the game forcing smaller groups out… Sov wands need to go away and the structures returned to a DPS value. This forces groups to field fleets of combat capable ships to take and hold sov. The current system is so broken because it requires no combat to win or lose sov, all it requires is more ECM than your opponent brings…

not really
those items are reprocessed into minerals which are used to manufacture items which are then ideally destroyed
how is that worse than flooding the market with isk which doesnt get destroyed

Better to encourage people to fight your enemies abroad than at your home.

Plus, game.

You don’t loot wrecks do you…
The return from reprocessing dropped loot is abysmal (Devs fixed that a long time ago so reprocessing 425mm rails wasn’t a thing for building supers). Even with “Scrap Metal Reprocessing” at 5 it is hardly worth it… I currently have close to 100K of looted items in a can - approximately ~1K of shite looted from each Haven - with a reprocessed value of around 25 mil isk - all reprocessing skills are lvl 5 in a Citadel with T2 reprocessing rigs.

Then of course you would also be adding to the larger issue of oversupply of minerals, which Devs deem to be bad as it keeps prices affordable.

And if you bothered to read more than the first line of my reply, I did say there needs to be more ratters destroyed. This too is something Devs are unwilling to address.

yeah i loot and salvage when i do pve
i use the minerals for my crappy little industry thing
so right now the economy is flooded with isk from ratters who dont even loot or salvage
ccp seems to think thats a problem because they think players should be looting and salvaging
rather than enjoying 260m ticks alone or whatever
so oversupply of minerals is mainly a rorqual thing
like you said loot and salvage only makes a small amount of minerals
the other nice thing about minerals is a lot of it is turned into consumables such as ammo
so its always being destroyed unlike isk

Just think about how much PLEX goes into extractor farms. I would imagine that’s a huge reason for increases in price.

Yeah plexes are expensive, but I worry about the credit card bill just before the billing period ends. As far as farming for plex, no thanks.
