In Factional Warfare, the capture timer (“plexing”) currently awards LP, but the hostile NPC waves inside the plex do not. This creates a mismatch between the actual risk involved and the rewards given.
FW NPCs apply meaningful combat pressure—webs, warp disruption, etc…—making ship loss a realistic possibility even before enemy players arrive. Clearing these NPC waves is often mandatory to hold the button, yet the time and danger invested in fighting them provides no direct LP return.
Because of this, time spent inside a plex becomes “all or nothing”:
If a player is pushed out by enemy militia, all progress and effort against NPCs becomes worthless.
If a player wins the PvP fight but loses significant time to NPC waves, the reward still doesn’t reflect the actual risk taken.
Proposal:
Award a small amount of LP per FW NPC destroyed. The goal is not to inflate LP faucets, but to ensure that:
Time spent actively fighting inside a plex has some value, even if the player is forced out.
The danger posed by NPCs is acknowledged with proportional reward.
FW becomes more consistent and fair for solo pilots and small gangs who must clear NPCs repeatedly.
This change would help balance the FW experience by ensuring that the risk and effort required to remain inside a plex—especially under NPC pressure—are meaningfully recognized.
Thank you for considering this improvement to the FW ecosystem.
