Pretty easy to pick out the Americans in this thread.
Mr Epeen
It could simply be a server side implementation of the law change China made in 2021 to restrict game time for minors.
I was expecting someone to type:
Can I have your stuff?
No one wants any low-end Chinese-farmed knockoff stuff around here.
We only buy brand-name EVE items from genuine American or German null-sec botters.
I see, a typical white supremacist
It doesnât seem to have made any difference to TQ player numbers, on EVE Offline
Maybe its just the play time limit per day for Chinese players.
On another note, im surprised they allow ANY connections to TQ from China.
Is that not why Serenity exists, so that certain elements present on TQ like drugs can be ommited?
Having done a tiny little bit of business in China, I find all of this (and especially the responses) kind of funny. If you want to know how they actually tend to do business there, take a look at this video Asmon made in response to some recent news that came out re: NetEase (which also handles EVE there):
I certainly wouldnât imply that all Chinese business (or other official) practices are on the up-and-up.
That said, in general theyâre shrewd and capable businessmen. And Blizzard is well known for gouging for dollars. They seem to think their product is pure gold and everybody will pay whatever it takes to play. (Like, perhaps, some other businesses we know.)
Anyways, nothing new here. They announced the problems months ago, and now Blizzard has run into some delays and asked NetEase to be their b1tch for another 6 months while they search for their next partner to scre⌠screen carefully. (Thatâs what the âdonkey/divorceâ quote is about, by the way.)
Thereâs been plenty of semi-informed speculation that the actual reason is Blizzardâs next set of contract terms is weighted very heavily in their financial favor, while forcing NetEase to continue to develop new products for them.
As for the game release, not sure what part of âAsia copies your successful products and makes them better/cheaper and sells them back to youâ seems new or revelatory to you. Itâs been happening for well over 40 years now, after all.
So, âhow they actually tend to do business thereâ appears to be, theyâll tell someone trying to screw them over to bugger off, and arenât afraid to follow through on it.
Is that a problem for you?
For a slightly more informed approach, you might do a little more searching than some streamer digging for viewer attention.

You should know that there a brand of humor where the posited statement is so over the top as to be self-referential. Perhaps you are doing the same but itâs not apparent to me.
I have only one question, how is possible that so many Chinese players now in EVE, when mainland china is blocked? Or I miss understood something?
There is an internet cafe in Pyongyang.

There are Chinese speakers outside China.
