They are called the CSM.
Honest question: what about Ishtar bot fleets makes Pochven hostile to small/middle scale fleets? How does the availability of this activity suppress other activities within Pochven?

Wait, they increased the timer to 90 minutes (and later, what? 30?) because the money made with these Flashpoints was just so immensive that they saw a problem big enough to adress it with a “fix”. Now they reduce the timer back to 0? Did they lower the rewards in there? Or what makes them think the exact same problem they tried to adress in their first change will not appear very quickly again? What do I miss? Do I misunderstand the patch notes?
It isn’t often I get to say this, but thank you to the dev team for actively monitoring the consequences of a mechanics change, listening to player feedback, and iterating a fix to some of the best content in the game imo. Pochven is a unique thunderdome experience that gives me and all of my accounts a reason to stay subbed.
The original 90 min timer change was not specifically to reduce the income from the sites, it was adding a timer that was supposed to be in there from day 1 which just happened to never work
The 35 min timer change was a middle ground walk back after pochven dropped off a cliff in activity and 90%+ of the income was then concentrated to 1% of pilots in pochven, this had the opposite (and predicted) effect of still not increasing activity in pochven because the timers were still controllable and just allowed the group that still ran them get even more money
The timer as a concept was flawed due to how easy it was to control and how unreasonably long it would take for people to gain intel on spawn windows, timer was removed, activity flooded back in
Ah, okay. On first glance it looked like they took all the shitstorm for nothing, so I thought I had overlooked some design changes of the sites or rewards.
Also i guess it’s time to update the activity tracker (as always, kills and value destroyed per day, ignoring NPC only kills)
obviously not nearly enough data for post patch yet outside of the obvious predictable spike on day 1 and 2
if you want to know why two data points leave the grid; thats the nalvula hull timer (and clean up on day 2) which were so comically large that i had to cut them out, see below for the auto scaled version where you cant see ANYTHING ELSE
Instead of having a timer to make the OFP spawn, residents of POoochven should have to engage in other activities like mining, exploration or clearing of other sites/complexes/signatures in the region to spawn this highly rewarding complex. That way, people would have to fly around constantly, smaller gangs within larger groups could contribute and you would not only focus all attention on one tiny, completely unbalanced and unbalancable thing. Lots more interaction and sabotage potential would be created this way, too.
agreed, pochven having a single central pillar for content is not healthy
but what was less healthy is having no pillar at all, now that activity will return to poch work can start on detaching obs as the sole content provider
I love that idea. I dislike the large and long PvE fleet part, but smaller objectives sound good to me. I’m salivating at the idea of alliances having an actual reason to run mining ops in Poch as well.
