I like to do some writing of IC poetry as my characters from time to time, this thread is for that which is written by my character Thulla Icin.

An untitled poem written after my first pod death. It was submitted to the YC 119 New Eden Capsuleer’s Writing Contest, where it won fourth place. The formatting here is not ideal, but it’s about the best I can do on this forum.

tumbling
Out Of Control!
as the lasers
sear my skin
and in that instant --
all is
light

In my mind
I leap and twirl
I shout for joy
as I run – barefoot – through a grassy meadow
Although I know
I am motionless
suspended naked in an egg
cables snaking through my spine
Yet when the boost comes on
And I ride that plasma wake
I run
