The flexibility, low cost and role bonuses of the Gnosis makes it an excellent choice for low skill characters. While good at everything, it is best at nothing.
For PVE you want a shield fit so you can use the low slots for damage modules. I posted this as a basic, low cost Gallente alpha fit. With decent Omega skills this fit has roughly 500dps with 20Km range and close to 50K ehp - more than enough to comfortably run level 3 missions. Your mileage may vary depending on skills. There is a reasonable amount of fitting headroom for T2 upgrades and cost should be less than 50 million ISK.

One great thing about this fit from @Do_Little is that you can use this as a template to try out different kinds of weapons and systems based on your skills and preferences- just swap out the turrets/launchers and damage mods to suit what you want to try.
This is one of the coolest things about this ship- while it’s not the “best” at anything, it’s a great platform to customize to what a given toon is good at or trying out different kinds of weapons systems.
Here’s an idea for an exploration fit. Not cap stable, but you will only use the MWD to burn between cans after you find them. Fast align as well. Definitely can be tweaked, but it’s a starting point.

Gnosis…flexible, yes…good looking?..well…eye of the beholder…
As a battlecruiser, Gnosis might be less than satisfactory for you in lvl4s.

The Gnosis is an excellent ship, though it’s ugly and slow, but is fully capable of completing most L4 missions in decent time. It is a particularly good ship for alphas as they can focus skill training on weapon and tank skills.
A good Gnosis fit has
6 damage mods, 3 for drones and 3 for turrets/launchers - I find hybrids best overall
5 turrets/launchers - T2 if possible - makes a big jump in available dps
10mn AB
2 rat specific hardeners
1 large cap battery
one shield boost amplifier or sensor booster
1 Pith C-type medium shield booster - makes a big difference to performance.
1 drone link augmentor
1 capacitor control circuit T1 and one T2
1 overclock rig
This is primarily a kiting setup so you need to know how to fly properly. Kill frigs and cruisers before they can get close but then you want to be real close to BS to avoid their damage and kill them quick with high dps ammo. You can finish many L4 missions in around 30mins or under but some will be impossible eg Smash the Supplier.
It is a very entertaining and satisfying ship to run L4 missions in - BS make them way too easy.

Absolutely rips through Sansha Vigils and anomolies no problem. The highest site I’ve hit in Low Sec thus far is a Sansha Outpost and it melt that too! Easy ISK if you what you’re doing.

Gnosis is very good ship but looks fugly and slow in terms of speed but it subjective .
If You plan on fitting it best to add stuff that increase it speed but it isnt a vexor so all those skin wouldnt sell like other ships.
Having said that it does have alot of spare slots for upgrades not to mention it one of those no requirement ship where you can just jump in.
Since your using omega clone you can consider covert op cloak,micro jump drive and salvager drone to make good use of it.
