Economics is the PVEers form of PVP, how they get back at the meanies and dysfunctionals who ravaged their boats.
Just as in a pvp sandbox you can ignore pvp all you want but it won’t ignore you, one can ignore all the spreadsheets you want, but someone is going to use that against you.

Plex price is fine as it is. Plex going up over time is the logical consequence of players printing ISK out of thin air.
The current Plex price is not the problem. The only problem are Skill Injector prices compared to Plex prices at the moment.
Skill Injectors are way to cheap!

I said it before and i do it again MAXIMUM PRICES SET BY CCP is the only possible answer here…
Cut the actual price by half and leave it there…
There is no “right” for maximum profit,the supply of those in need is far more important than profit.
And if you’ve done that…expand it to the whole market…more market control would make this game better in many ways…
again…market control is no socialism and even if…it would be better for the game to do it than to let the prices raise like that…the other possible solution would be to cut all isk on the server by 90%…would that be better?

I know people have said this to you before, but how does that even help?
People will buy fewer plex from ccp, because it converts to less isk. People will buy more plex on the market, because it’s cheaper. The market will run out of plex at the maximum price, people will either circumvent it by trading off market, or if that’s impossible there simply won’t be enough supply for those wanting to buy. Price controls only work the way you want when both supply and demand are inelastic, neither of which is true for plex.

It looks like PLEX price is not high enough, because the OP is still thinking about buying them instead of selling them.
exactly this, I normally plex all my accounts, even at the current prices I could afford to do it quite easily.
however, prices have actually hit a point now, where spending 150 bucks to subscribe my accounts, even for 1 month. means roughly 30b that I can keep in my pocket.
not somethig I would justify doing long term, and certainly not something I would have considered when it was only 20b or so, but that extra 10b is tempting enough.
Controlling an uncontrolled escalating market is the only possible solution one has…letting it grow like today leads only to the current situation and makes it even worse…
And yes…EVERYBODY should have the opportunity to buy plex this is called freedom…if you have to cut the gains of the traders for that,even better…maximum price,known profit,deal with it or go…this has to be the answer…

They can throw whatever numbers they like for the maximum price on the market…even for 100 million each…traders have no power here,just ccp.

OK, you go buy plex at the link I gave you and ill buy up to 50,000 units of plex @ 1m ISK ea like you desire.
The reality is that unless CCP starts seeding plex in the game, any kind of cap on the price of plex will result in nobody buying plex to put on market.
The people who are doing that are paying money for isk. If they’re not doing enough of that right now to get 2 billion isk for each 500 plex purchased (at about 20 bucks)… what makes you think they’d do it if that suddenly dropped to only 500K iisk for 20 bucks?
Yes, those who find plex available will be able to get it cheaper with a price cap… but the amount of plex available will drop sharply.
I’d be interested to know some views here on the links between plex price, the earning of isk, the artificial dumping and pumping of plex price etc.
Business as usual in an MMO, or at least with the one’s I’ve played that had something akin to PLEX.
Add more ISK sinks, PLEX is going to rise. Add more PLEX into the market, price is going to rise. Demand the publisher “fix” the “problem”, players will still raise the price.
Of course you could always read one of the other threads on the topic, with their hundreds of replies, before starting a new one.
