Proposition to make ganking harder

Rats! :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

This entire tread is bait, then.

ā€œThis issues is killing the gameā€

Game is still here after 20+ years.

ā€œI can avenge myself on the people destroying this game with no effect after more than two decades.ā€

So there is no issue. Everything works as intended.

Technically it is the same, but the term ā€œgankingā€ in EVE is exclusively used for attacking neutral ships in highsec and going criminal.

It is distinguished this way because the same thing in other types of space is okay and elite pvp, but the same thing in highsec is wrong, bad, evil and a glitch that developers apparently never intended to happen (summing up typical gank-haters quotes).

Shooting the Gankers are not profitable. Revenge/Avenge are just words for bruised ego.

Pay attention to what my post says - it is a reply to another, paraphrasing what they said.

Mine is not the tree you should be barking at.

I know your replying on a different tread. I’m just agreeing with you..

Is that your belief as well, do you agree with those statements?

Don’t even bother replying to Quakegod, a ganking troll here to defend ganking.

I posted about this a month or 2 ago, I just have a few weeks time left to run out on one of my accounts, (getting the enjoyment out of what I paid for doing the memories) before I go play something that is enjoyable without being forced to be a ganker. Either join them or leave the game.

There is no risk vs reward for ganking, it’s not even a slap on the wrist for someone hunting deer with a Phalanx CIWS. … like hunting buffalo pelts in to near extinction ect. I went to Jita last night… a pack of destroyers and tornados sitting out the 4/4 station. 1/2 those undocked were neg sec. YUP that is the trade hub of Hi sec. Such a load of bs.

CCP doesn’t care, the CSM thinks … oh it’s because Eve is a harsh place to live. If it’s so harsh… where is that equivalent for gankers?

The end all, is that anybody that cares already left the game… expect the game to die out in 5 years unless they make big changes. If that happens… maybe I’ll come back, but at this point I’m not expecting to. So happy I didn’t give into my craving to design new skins, needing plex to do so. At this point unless you want to sit where you are actively pvping at all times just to do something as simple as ā€œgoing to the storeā€ don’t bother putting any money into the game. Spend it elsewhere and you actually get to enjoy it.

100k active players to 20k and dropping… nothing wrong here :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL them were the days… you didn’t need warp gates either… You just pointed your ship and hit warp and adjusted your direction every few minutes… try ganking that :stuck_out_tongue: If they had that now, there would be less people complaining about ganking.

EVE has never had more than 60k players. Ever. And that was only for the duration of a certain war. Since then it has averaged 30k. I’d say that’s not bad losing maybe only half of your players in a 22-year-old game.

You people, I swear. When EVE reaches its 30-year anniversary, you’ll still be making posts like ā€œgAnKiNg iS kIlLiNg eVeā€ā€¦

Give the game back the ability to go after more worthwhile targets and you will see ganking drop. Until then…

@QuakeGod I read that EVE Online has been dying since 2008. That’s quite a long death.

100k is the record… obviously the average active player count then was much higher, but not that high on average.
Also take into account older records of that time included some that had 2, maybe 3 concurrent accounts. NOTHING like the current player base.

No… I won’t be playing it.

I believe the first mention of ā€œEvE iS dYiNgā€ dates from late 2003.

EVE-ONLINE been dying for 22 years and Counting :skull:

OMG, that’s true! 2008 wouldn’t make the game 22 years old. 2008 was the year EVE went live on Steam… I’m such an idiot. I’ll go hide in my room now

What record? Because the peak EVE Online concurrent number is only 65,303 back in 2013. EVE-Offline :: EVE-Online Status monitor
