PROSPECTOR PACK "READY TO FLY RETRIEVER"

They’ll never listen, Brisk and Merk know, they are hypocrites to the extreme. The best we can do is be as vocal so the gaming press picks up on it.

No one should care about dollar ships in a game with T2BPO’s.

Whaaaaaat? Thats craaaaaaaazy… EvE Online is well known amongst gamers for uhh… not having hypocritical circle jerking trolls… Heresy…

LOL!

What’s funny is that you believed that in the first place.

Anyone remember when they brought on an economy guy years ago? I do. The goal was to do hands-on adjusting of markets.

LOL!

You probably also believe Somer Blink ships were actually player-made…

I’ve been wondering, how many of the ISD’s have forum alts that they use to troll with.

We use our mains to troll—the ISDs are the alts.

If there’s one thing james is good at, its creating new alts to troll with.

He and erotica, who was chronically unable to take a hint lol.

Considering the complete lack of impartiality with some of these moderators, I believe there is more veracity than one might think in that post.

I mean for a Retriever, having no Damage control can be justified if you’re really confident in your reflexes. No tank, all ore capacity. I wouldn’t recommend it (the clone transporter can just pop you), but there is some logic to it even if I don’t think the tradeoff it worth it. Also, a Munin can warp in and just blap you without even getting into scram range. A damage control would totally be worth it. If this was meant to be a high sec fit, assuming there are no gates, stations, or asteroid belts within 4 AU you could just get ready to warp off any time something scary appears on D-scan (if these things are too close and you have to set it to a very narrow range, it might be too late). Or maybe the idea was that people who buy these packs would be food for the veterans?

Is ice harvesting with a Retriver in a low sec system with a lot of through traffic viable? My corpmates have done so and three of them pointed out they didn’t die in the ice belts for 3 years. On the other hand, there are just so many ways to get blown up. If you don’t warp to the station every time someone appears in local, an astero could warp to the belt and you’d never know. If you do warp to a station every time a grey appears, you’re in the station 7/8 of the time because this is a system where people travel through.

Also, I’m a bit mystified as to why they bothered created ships out of thin air. I understand it’s a business. Why not do something like, figure out how much ore at 100& processing, and then remove those ore from the market with ISK with a dummy account and buy some Retriever BPCs from contracts with the dummy? Then sell these in the prospector pack. Or if they were going to crate these from thin air, at least make people commit more so that the market isn’t as diluted. Make it a $430 for 38 months of Omega, the Retriever (and the stuff inside), and 100 PLEX. And then upgrade everyone in game who has a Retriever on Bronze Insurance or higher to Platinum insurance (so that people who made they for themselves aren’t kicking themselves for not just buying them on the market once th prices go down), upgrade people who have less than Bronze to Bronze, and have special extensions to 9 months for people who already got platinum. If they created Retrievers from thin air using this method, the number of extra ships would be limited (by the $430 price tag) and people who already made Retrievers for themselves didn’t miss an opportunity. And before you say they cheated people out of $430, for 38 months of subscription, that’s not a bad deal.

I’m not allowed to state that I’m an ISD.

I have to admit, ISD Danuja has a nice ring to it.

Just let us have customizable captain’s quarters and the same with ships. That will bring in a decent return.

Because then instead of devaluing minerals, they’d be devaluing ISK instead? ISK is a “resource” too.

If they only did that, then yes but I also suggested including it a larger pack instead of a $25 one.

Your pack’s pricing structure is so marginal that it’s probably not worth the development time to add it to the store.

I didn’t say they should create ships out of thin air, but if they were going to insist on doing that, something should have been done to prevent too much ISK from being dumped into the economy while also making sure that people who were making their spare barges before the prospector pack didn’t get punished for making spares.

back when SOE had the player studio players could create weapoins, armor and mounts in a grphics environment and then they could be offered through the store for players to buy. it was an interesting concept. SOE made money off of selling them (and making the designs work in game) but players created them. was very cool. i especially liked the flying whale with the rainbow trail

Math cannot be a rumor, it can only be right or wrong, it’s verifiable.
