So this IS real!
It’s bait. They pretend to sell an advantage to people who think they’ll somehow be superior if they spend only this tiny little amount of money. don’t we all know how smart the free2play crowd is?

Ten years ago the players of this game would have felt insulted af.
Five years ago there would have at least been lots of negative reactions.
And today the game’s playerbase apparently degenerated enough to fall for this.

Anyone that cared enough has quit the game, hence why the PCU numbers are as â– â– â– â– as they are.

Won’t make any difference, let them get on with it. They will still be welcome fodder for older players, scammers or trap masters in high sec (also assuming they don’t get killed by Concord first).
Buy the starter pack, get a better frigate to start with and sail of into Eve confident that your purchase will set things right…good luck with that. Haha.

Only on the forums. The last time I really actively played EVE was in 2013.
These days, you’ll hardly ever see me online anymore. Perhaps once every 4 to 5 months to spread some bittervettism, but that’s about it.
but it’s wrong on some many levels. If you want to gather more customers, are you cheating them at start?

I wouldn’t say they’re being cheated, $5 of plex is still $5 of plex any way you shake it.
However they’re definitely being mislead, and this whole “buy skill injectors or you’re nothing” schtick probably doesn’t help retain any new players either.

What’s the point of that add then? It looks bad and feels bad. Like cheap tablet game add.
The point is to get people, who have the desire to feel superior, to buy this. that’s why it’s there. it’s PERFECT for the crowd they’re targetting. not you, because you actually think.

And there you are wrong. The people who you talk about left the game long ago (exceptions like you, me, Linus, who still hang around exist ofc), because they knew this would be coming. They didn’t fall for the marketting-speak CCP shoved down everyone’s throat.
The picture below sums it up fairly well. The average human isn’t getting any smarter, he’s getting dumber due to the fact that there are more and more technical helpers, big companies and governments that think for the people and of course the dumb crowd is contend with that.
I dare say the average sheep is more intelligent than the average human. In visible behavior, they don’t differ all that much anymore.
People are being turned into mindless consumer slaves and they’re too dumb to notice.

This is, basically, a starter pack. like the ones which have been sold for years, like the explorer pack.
Main difference is that it comes with plex, rather than aurum.
I have no idea why this is “a major issue” all other MMO’s are much much worse. More over, it has zero impact on any of you (other than putting more PLEX on the market, and lowering it’s value). This leads me to believe that this is nothing more than an exercise of intellectual fascism and ego stroking.
Problem is how it is advertise. More weapons slots, damage and tank? For real?
It’s a real problem that CCP is inconsistent with it’s messages. They say that ISKs and SPs are not important, only experience within the game matters. Then they introducing SP injectors to “catch up” with older players (Malcanis law in all it’s beauty). I see contradiction here. If I was new player and about to start playing EvE I wouldn’t touch it even with a stick after such statement.
