PVE Ammar battleship fitting help

I am doing ratting in Blood Raider space with my small fleet of alts. Currently I use main tank praxxis with T2 lasers - very pleasant experience compared to rockets, no reloads, no ammo, instant death to frigates etc. I can manage to control weapons and targets on my second toon/wingman also but thats max micromanagement for me, rest of alts use ishtars with drones only assigned at the beginning to the main tank.

What I am looking for is a fit or technically 2: one for main tank and second for my wingman since I have trained them to use ammar battleships and T2 lasers.

What I am looking for my main tank is:

  • I warp to 30km so I need about 40km range for the lasers.
  • I need to be able to tank all the rats for the duration of the whole site (sanctums/havens) on my main tank (paper ishtars just die if targeted:P)
  • 1k- dps minimum from just lasers alone with conflag - I would like to be ablo to use just it, scorch only for something that got away. Drones dps is a bonus.
  • it takes me usually 10-12min for a site so I need capacitor that can hold through (I wouldn’t like to wait between sites for cap recharge either)
  • budget 500m-1b max - I don’t want to have gank target painted on me - otherwise I would use my paladin :slight_smile:

For wingman - less tank - more dps.

I don’t really care if its a Abaddon or Apocalypse or some navy issue as long as it does the job.

I was looking at this bad boy but range might be to small and capacitor will be probably out after 3rd wave - I would like to minimize cap management - target management is enough work already

Currently I am using this Praxis fit - its cap stable which is awesome and has enough range but dps leaves something to desire and as for tank - sometimes reps are not keeping up with the damage :stuck_out_tongue:

With this fit, I would warp in at 10km, drop my MTU and align back to my station or safe spot. Engage the MJD and jump 100km away. From there I would drop my sentry drones and start targetting NPCs. Once agro was established I would turn on my missile launchers. Separate them into two groups and stagger their operation by a few seconds. Mjolnir auto targetting missiles will hit the closest thing attacking you, so you can focus on using your drones to pick off select targets. You can also switch to heavies. The Nos helps if your cap gets low and if you get an assault frigate trying to tackle you.

Once the site is completed, I will warp my alt in with a Noctis to loot & salvage at the MTU.

Ok so this is final best I could come up with - almost 1500dps for less than a bare Imperial Navy Armagedon hull and almost cap stable - the only issue is range

Range and application are what you are looking for. The Abbadon is a nice ship, but it is meant for close range. To take the pressure of your tank, you need more range. I would suggest perhaps a Dominix with heavy/sentry drones. And train into cruise missiles, even just T1 launchers.

Thanks for the ideas but still, I am trained in T2 lasers and Amarr BS :slight_smile: I dont want to switch now into Dominix with Cruise :slight_smile:

Look at where you can replace stuff with storyline mods, often the power and CPU savings does help greatly in getting longer cap times, cap is life, cap is king.
