Pyrite why is it up so much?

Title. Why are pyrite prices up so much? I reread through patch notes and didn’t really see anything leading to pyrite prices spiking so much. Was wondering if anyone knew why. As an extra I miss Delonewolf’s weekly look at the markets in eve online. He was my favorite YouTuber for eve.

This is a good time to buy. You are still early

Pyerite is going to the moon!

ISK/hour for mining anything else is higher. CCP has tried to fix pyerite prices by boosting supply and cutting demand, but that just makes other minerals more profitable to mine, keeping pyerite high?

Why even try to control mineral prices? They’ll settle naturally. Just focus on making the game fun. Peace.

No one really knows, including CCP. That’s why they are slowly testing the water with Prismaticite - a universal mineral balancer that could potentially balance the mineral market naturally by itself.

https://www.youtube.com/@OZeve has that as well, with deep dives after all major changes. He also got re-elected into CSM, so he has insights from CSM as well. Worth following.

Manipulation, people building the new ships, Pamfam changes, take a pick.

Uh… is this a serious question?

… read the patch notes on the Equinox expansion. And Aiko’s answer for a hint.

They are up? It’s been dropping since the expansion I’m pretty sure. It was north of 33 isk

One mineral will always be a bottleneck in production. It doesn’t matter what CCP does or how much finetuning they apply.

I remember when it was morphite, then CCP in their brilliance crashed it over 50%. Now no-one mines it. Low sec ores like dark ochre are more valuable. Crazy. Just leave everything alone and let miners figure it out.
