Since QSNA Boards (out of game character tracker + official character bazaar preview) are approaching 5000 characters, there are some new features being introduced

Example: Quantum Anomaly

Current features:

  • Track your standings
  • Track your skills
  • Track your skill queue
  • Track your ship masteries
    • Including being able to select missing mastery and see how long it would take to train

New features:

  • Compare characters!
    • You are now able to compare any characters who have boards. Simply go to their page and click “add to compare” button and viola. You can compare skills directly and even do “difference only” view to see just the different values very easily.
      Example: Quantum Anomaly

Hello, thank you for the implementation.
Since ESI returns more than 4 decimal places on the standings, would it be possible for you to display the whole number that the ESI returns to your site and not only 4 decimals?

Either to replace the number you show now, or add it bellow, or as a tooltip (not easy to copy/paste that tho).

Is there a way to update my character’s corporation? It’s been three days, and QA is still showing his Player Corporation.

That might be an esi issue on ccps end

Right now the rule is to show 8 decimals once you pass 9.5 standings, otherwise 4. I will add the tooltip for now tho, maybe copy icon. I used to display full length, but then people complained :smiley:

As @Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras mentioned, ESI public information about characters is cached for 604800 seconds, or in other words 7 days.

So every time you press refresh, I see same corporation for 7 days from CCP’s servers, so unfortunately I can’t do anything about this. You could complain to current CSM member Ariel about this, he is 3rd party tools ESI representative.

Its useful for us lol. I know we used to get the eveskillboard up to the 14 digit.

Your accelerator comparison page (Quantum Anomaly) seems to have the wrong number of attributes for the basic accelerators - I’m eating a basic ‘brainfreeze’ but it’s +4 to all attributes, not +2, etc.

Not sure what’s up with that, and I haven’t done the math to see if your total sp/booster calculation is also wrong or not, but worth reviewing I think.

That’s why you use the batch-POST affiliation instead.
It requires less calls (batch of up to 1000 chars) and is cached only for 1H.

You don’t want to have the user control your queries. That could make your server banned.

Refresh has been on every eveskillboard and its tied to the esi refresh rate of 1 hour

You wont use the skillboard do wtf do you care?

  1. I am aware of this endpoint, but for reasons I really don’t want to discuss with you personally, it’s not being used.
  2. Why would I not let users control queries? This app is built for users, not just some gazillion lines of Java code for personal use.
  3. Bold of you to assume that I would get banned that easily from ESI without knowing anything about how the app works internally
