So if they’re still trying to milk the cow, they care. If they’re still trying to get money out of EVE, they’re not moving all the staff over to PA. At an individual developer level, they’ve put a lot of work into this stuff, and they’re still human beings. Sunk cost fallacy or not, they’re not just going to shrug and walk away saying ‘eh, DGIAF anymore’ while the game is still active and still clearly retaining players. That’s not how people work.

there’s really no point in taking down a structure with all the timers if asset safety magically whisks away all the contents (outside of wormholes).
maybe a strategic one in a very specific set of circumstances that don’t arise often (lmao, this forced “war” that’s only taking place bc null is so pants on head bored).
now at least there will be a constant guaranteed isk reward in the form of a core with each structure. instead of relying on salvage or hoping the fuel blocks drop.
