Question

is pulling concord away from a stargate after a suicide gank by undocking in covettes still considered a exploit?

Depends on the day of the week and the GM/Dev you ask. (They have been rather inconsistent with it.)

Found on : Known & Declared Exploits – EVE Online

Committing a criminal act and delaying CONCORD response for an extended period.

Commonly involves leaving empty ships or drones in space that CONCORD focuses on before dealing with the attacker. This exploit is not limited to drones or ships and applies to any item or method which might be used to delay CONCORD.

It is also considered an exploit to commit a criminal act and prevent ship loss to CONCORD by any means.

There will be no changes to how support are policing CONCORD interaction and that ‘pulling’ CONCORD or defensive spawning of CONCORD is currently permitted but we reserve the right to change this at a future date.

should be any actions on concord to gain an advantage is punishable by perma ban, be it avoiding concord or pulling concord from gank sites

im calling they been told not to if they can justify it.

Maybe they’ll change but right now defensively pulling CONCORD is permitted

It’s never been considered an exploit, but the attempt to frame it as if it has been is very funny.

Despite the verbiage there, this isn’t describing the kind of “delay” you’re imagining.

IIRC, the “Delay” in this case exceeded what should normally be the maximum response time based on sys sec. Prepulling Concord will get you the maximum amount of time, but that’s it.

The exploit is where you pull Concord away from area A so that you can gank at area B ( or the original gank site ) at the same time.

The ‘at the same time’ is what matters. Pilots simply undocking in corvettes are not actually ganking at the same time. They are not ganking at all. IF they had a second group that was actually ganking the original gank site at the same time….that would be an exploit.

That is why gank fleets immediately dock up after a gank. It is so that nobody is left at the gank site ( for example if anyone never got to fire at target ) such that this exploit could be triggered.
