Not really, the Queen ant controls all functions of an ant colony. Some ants, the ones that go out scouting or foraging do have some independence, but barely act out of self interest, because each ant, all ants are female, except for the drones, are basically a copy of the Queen herself. Sans the ability to reproduce.
Most of the time, ants will clean a colony, once the report from other ants reach the Queen. The Queen then instructs the ants to clean.
