Reducing Global Warming - The Portal To A Real Future

So you’re still stuck with the first round denialism? Didn’t you get the memo that now the denialist message is “looks like we oopsied, but there’s nothing we can do about it so businessasusual”?

Meanwhile, every little bit of the Capital wages its own war to grab more money before the brown stuff hits the spinning blades. Some promise technomiracles, other want you to buy stuff for war, others want to blame everything on “them” (as in, not-like-them), some greenwash and some just lobby heir way into spending public funds in downright stupid ideas like hydrogen, carbon sequestering and others.

Meanwhile, climate patterns are becoming unstable as more and more energy flows through the system before being radiated back to space.

And we know it’s us, and we aren’t doing anything about it, and chances are that we don’t like it once temperatures and rain become just too chaotic to fulfill the need for stability of our whole civilization. It’s just begun, quietly, here and there, nothing serious yet.

Okay, if you’re going to start combining economics and climate, I’m going to shut you up right now.

Capitalism has nothing to do with the climate. However, there’s a reason we call modern climate activists Watermelons. They use the climate as nothing but an excuse to further their socialist agendas. Green on the outside, red on the inside, like a watermelon.

So if you’re going to try to inject your anti-capitalist BS and trying to disguise it as a climate movement, you can kindly go self fornicate elsewhere. We need to have a serious discussion about climate, not listen to your anti-corporate bulls**t.

Real solutions, please, not pipe dreams of a failed social system.

Oh, looks like you got THAT memo, though. Don’t question how billionaires billionarize themselves because that’s socialism and socialism is baaaaah(d).

Well, the thing is that reality doesn’t gives a hoot of Capitalism or Socialism. Actually, the simplest way to deal with climate change is to update, upgrade and optimize Capitalism. It’s a nice idea in itself and has lots of potential, no need ot throw the baby out with the bathwater. BUT, the baby has pooped and peed in the bathwater, and we better think of a plan to improve that situation.

Because the consequences are fairly real, and don’t look good. As I said, it just started, and it’s little things yet. For an instance, insurors are no longer insuring homes in California. More and more homeowners are finding themselves in a tough spot since either rates are skyrocketing or insurors are downsizing and even stopping their operations and no longer will insure homes in California. Why? Because they’re losing money. In one hand, homes are more expensive becuase of capitalism, and on the other hand there is an increasing trend of homes being damaged by forest fires. Forest fires which are becoming more common and larger because of a mix of dubious forestal management policies and increasing temperatures with decreasing rainfalls.

So it’s not socialism. It’s just that California is becoming a bad place to insure homes because of Capitalism and global warming.

Just little things. Last april, a couple regions in Russia lost all their crops to a never seen before cold wave in spring. Nothing serious, it’s just about 5-10% of this year’s harvest, depending on how well the other regions fare. But it never hppened before.

Little things happedn and happen, last year 60% of Greece’s best farmlands were wrecked by a single freak storm. The food output of Greece is estimated to drop by 15% for the next 5 to 10 years while the lands recover their fertility. This never happened before, not at such scale.

Looks like we better find a way for Capitalism to deal with the increasing average temperature and climate uncertainty since little things become commonplace and the issues scalate. Because the poop and the pee are in the bathwater, and we better get rid of them before the baby grows really sick.

No need to throw Capitalism, just improve it. Although along the way, some billionaires will no longer be able to billionarize themselves in the same ways as until now, and that’s baaaah(d).

Almost as bad as Socialism.

Global warming is caused by:
1. The sun itself.
2. The sun’s trajectory.

1. The sun has been getting into a hot phase for more than a decade now. That is why we now see increased activity in CME.

2. The solar system is traversing a region of the galaxy that is more dense in space particles, themselves causing the sun to heat up.

3 Capitalism is inhumane, cruel and corrupt.
4 Socialism is just, humane and equitable.

Oh no please. I bet you can’t post anything I have not seen a hundred times that will be entirely unconvincing. I doubt heavily that you can say anything on the topic that is of interest to anyone who actually looked at the science.

The increase in the intensity of the sun is part of all the climate models and no, climate change is not caused by the sun.

You knew that if you actually had taken a look at any of the models, but non of you have. Yet you feel like you can discuss this with confidence.

Yes. Climate change is caused by the sun.

No, I know I can discuss this with confidence and… I just have.

It’s called the dunning-kruger effect

No, it’s callled a disagreement. Get over it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh, it’s the Sun? Now please tell, why is the stratosphere cooling down? You know, that layer of the atmosphere straight on top of the troposphere where we live and mountains and clouds and weather dwell.

Can you please explain how is the Sun heating up the atmosphere layer further from it, and cooling down the atmosphere layer closer to the Sun?

Science knows. A computer simulation run in 1967 already showed that increased amounts of CO2 led to both a warming of the troposphere and a cooling of the stratosphere, the later leading to a eventual thinning of the ozonosphere which curently is no issue since it takes centuries.

Now, for those interested on the topic of “how do we know it’s us?”, here’s a short and informative video by quantum physicist and YouTuber Sabine Hossenfelder:

I don’t have an uncle who thinks it’s a hoax (well, in Spain, that special one is known as a brother in law, aka “cuñado”) but if I had, I would send this video their way. I specially love the stratosphere thing because it’s both older than public concerns about climate change and absolutely murderous against all tales about external factors.

My favorite part about electric vehicles is when kids in Darfur dig up the cobalt for the batteries with their bare hands…

Making all these electric vehicles is doing more harm than good in the long run. Dumbasses driving them, you cant convince them otherwise

This two digit IQ climate change denier takes never get old. What have electric cars now done to you to make you so mad? If you don’t like them, don’t buy them, how hard is that?

Well… get a bicycle then. lol

No thanks. I will keep my gas-powered vehicles in good running condition for many years to come.

25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, 25,000 pounds of ore for copper Diging up 500,000 pounds of the earth’s crust For just - one - battery.

Its not economic or “green” to drive an electric vehicle. Especially since ive seen diesel trucks servicing them or what goes into the chargers.

Id rather find a way to make bio diesel or some other more economic fuel for cars than batteries.

Gas powered are mountain and hills best friend over electric

Thank you for your opinion.

You skipped the question.

If there is a cause outside of Earth, then why a part of the atmosphere closer to space is cooling down while the part closer to the ground is warming up?

Because the temperature in space is -270.415°C.
