T1 ships telling “f*ck you” to specialized T2 interdictors by pressing a button feels all but right. The module itself isn’t all that bad, but in combination with any kind of cloak it’s game breaking.
Haven’t noticed that in the years Interdiction Nullifiers exist. Sorry you can’t kill a 100% of the people who end up in your bubbles any more, learn how to decloak fast and fit a scrambler. Or watch closely where they warp to and pass them (because you warp a lot faster) and catch them while the Nullifier is on delay.
Pilots should have options to deal with dangerous situations, not just be 100% dead meat. Nullifiers and WarpCore Stabs give them options in case they get tackled/bubbled. Fine. The attacker still has options to overcome these (scrams, factionscrams/dualscrams to counter WCSs, MWDs to decloak, faster warpspeed to predict where the escaped target might have fled). I’d say: get better and accept that sometimes a target can escape, you have to earn your kills, not get them presented on a silver platter.
I agree it’s hard to catch a ship with:
- covert cloak
- nullifier
- low <3s align time
But if you’re paying attention and are prepared you shouldn’t have trouble with a regular cloak or with slow aligning covert nullified ships if you know how to decloak them.
T1 ships with prototype cloaks are super clunky and can be easily decloaked. Yes, when youre out hunting, it can be frustrating to loose a ship. But if you go for a decloack you have a decent chance of catching them. For you, as camper on that one gate, the odds seem quite low.
As the pilot of the hauler or ship trying to escape though - its not just one gate. Its MANY gates, and many chances to be caught.
That 20% of the time you might get a decloack, as a solo tackle, when taken multiple times by the other party ammounts to significant risk - as evidensed by the massive ammount of t1 ships with cloaks that die every day.
And those quick ones are normally fragile enough to be caught with a smart bomb
I managed to escape an interidction sphere launcher in an ibis once. Pretty proud of that.
But no, I don’t agree. You having to only push 1 button to instantly ensnare someone without even locking on to them. Yeah, I’m not upset that has gotten more difficult.
You were his well deserved killmail when you entered his system and he bubbled and alt-tabbed to his main. How dare you bring a ship so small it can clear the bubble before the main acquires a lock?
You owe him a killmail and a compensation for his wasted interdiction probe.
No, he has to press
- F1 - interdiction bubble
- ALT
- TAB
- F1 - whatever his main has
- MOUSECLICK - on your ship in the overview
That is 5 clicks required. If he has multiple dps alts he has to repeat steps 2~5 for each of them.
Null PVP is a lot more intensive and situationally dependend then the boring highsec and lowsec and wormhole pvp which always works the same. In null, you don’t have the time to bump someone with a frig to decloak him, or apply scram with the dictor or whatever the holers do, because in null you’re busy alt-tabbing through your clients.
Wait? You think multiboxing is a null thing?
It’s pretty evenly spread throughout space.
It’s a (cloaky) Sabre, an (also cloaky) Loki and sometimes an (also cloaky) ExecNavy. With rigs to make them lock faster after decloak ^^. So he is basically pr0-camping gates under cloak for hours and hours and hours and farms haulers or miners traveling through and can’t stand the idea that someone might have a small chance to survive this 1337 trap if he knows what he is doing and has a good fit. So CCP plz fix it!
this is why people post from noob alts, because there is always some *sswipe with a fraction of your kills to come around and banalize your way of playing the game.
It took about an hour and a half with multiple jumps back and forth and avoiding the other few ships there too.
listen up, an uber skilled cyno/miner slayer is speaking now XD
I hope he’s gonna tell us which F button his gun of preference is mapped onto that makes a venture pop.
What?

i have a t1 hauler than is uncatchable and i can just warp around on the enemy staging keepstar grid, anchoring cans until i’m bored.

Amazing. Still can’t see how this little shenanigans is ‘breaking the game’? Doesn’t look to me that the Keepstar will fall once you have anchored enough cans.
Point is that there is no problem with the fact that a fraction of the OPs targets can escape using options the game gives them. Like he uses options the game gives him to kill people. This little Bubbler/Killer dualboxing setup shouldn’t result in a 100% win chance. Looking at his KB he still farms more than enough industrial ships with his camp, why should CCP change the game just so he gets an even higher success rate and people who are jumping in have a zero chance to escape? Doesn’t look like a good change to me from a balance point of view.

you are a f… liar or a totally clueless person!
it never was 100%, even before interdiction nullifier was given to haulers and all covops, there were plenty of ways to escape bubbles and to avoid being killed in them. But new nullifiers are a giant F*CK YOU button to dictors, that can be mounted to a whole range of ships including cheap T1 haulers. And no, you shouldn’t be able to escape easily from a dictor in cheap garbage ships, this feels like an antithesis to everything that eve was built on. Buy a more expensive cloaky hauler and fit it for agility.
I love nullifiers - it’s now a game of rock, paper, scissors whereas before it was rock, paper, scissors - meteor.
You have to work for it and be more creative with how to catch ships now.
there were plenty of ways to escape bubbles and to avoid being killed in them.
ok, please name only FIVE of the “plenty” ways to escape with a Bestower when jumping a gate and being bubbled by a Sabre while a Loki is decloaking nearby if nullifiers do not exist. If you cant show us five, lets start with three.
We are waiting.
If it has a cloak you might get away by doing cloak-mwd, if the sabre pilot sucks it might survive. But, Bestower is cheap T1 trash that should not have much chance to survive such a confrontation. Buy and use T2 that can cloak-mwd more effectively + warp off cloaked. Nullifier makes it way too easy.
My “plenty of ways” was not limited to T1 ships but to all of them, where jumping a gate into a sabre is just one of the scenarios. You can avoid bubbles by warping via celestials, pings, you can scout, you can mwd-reapproach, mwd-cloak. Yes you have to maneuver a bit which is as it is supposed to be. Not just press a button, cloak, warp. This is as lame as it gets.
Noone in his sane mind would had hauled any valuable cargo without scout in a friggin Bestower, before nullifier existed.
