Replacing flesh with tech

Well of course it doesn’t. Human bodies are notoriously flawed. But again, as these thoughts seems to consume your mind more than they should, talking about it with a professional might do some good.

Haha it appears he hit a nerve, how quaint.

But you both should really stop this bickering, Hun Tra really deserves better.

I want mom and dad stop fighting and buy me a cake

Who’re you?

Just a passer bye who thought this was all quite hilarious.

I mean, you asked if you hit a nerve, and since I don’t ever remember you saying anything relevant to the post you replied to, so… I’m just left a little confused as to what nerve you think you hit.

Also, how is hitting a (metaphorical) nerve ever quaint? Is it that it’s quaint to hit a nerve instead of a communication circuit or optical conduit or something?

… That’s not quaint at all, even now. It’s not like full-body conversions or (VERY ILLEGAL) upload entities are the rule. Nobody much but Nation really makes a habit of putting brains in jars.

Apologies Arrendis, I was tired I meant it looked as though Kenaar had hit a nerve but I feel I spoke out of turn.

I hope you will accept my apologies.

Mz Jenneth the argument did appear to me somewhat amusing I don’t think anyone here is truly advocating the insanities of Sansha Kuvakei.

There’s no ‘turn’ to speak out of, but I’m more than willing to accept that you misspoke. I don’t think it really needs an apology, though. I was confused, not offended.

Never looked into the history of the respondent at #24, have you? (Hint: Evi’s a toaster)

Doing things with Meat is more Fun than doing things with Metal.

Clearly you have not accessed sensory enhancement.
I expect that Hun Tra’s tolerances are both exceptional and fine-tuned.

Correct!

I mean, exactly how far can you trust any of that, though, if your meat’s compromised. You know they still grow a meat brain for you, right?

I’m not sure you’re familiar with Synthia’s perspective here…

I trust my meat.

Wait.

Help.

Well. Um. Sort of. Neurogel is weird.

(I mean if you think about it it’s a bit obvious: how are you going to write a human being’s worth of information onto a traditional, but unoccupied, brain without damaging it? You need a medium that’s more receptive to being written to, at least at first, so…)

You know, I think that losing a screw is easier than losing a toe.

Yet finding a screw remains a fantastic solution to so many problems…

I can just say, thank you for screwing in certain things for me back then. I still remember and greatly appreciate that.
