Even Mike, as hard not to like as he is, I suspect, is sick and tired of dealing with children. I’m not going to qualify who I mean by that; but it could be anyone.
But then, I like Brisc too, which is why I get so dispirited when I feel he has made a serious mistake.
There is no perfect system, because there are no perfect people. We do the best we can with what we have and that is enough.
I’m thankful for these CSM volunteers. They are like the American Marines; the first to suffer and the last to leave. Should they survive.
As a member of CSM they have to expect attitude thrown at them or should not have vied for the position. I know it don’t mean being a punching bag but I’ve seen very little meaness and more finger-pointing. Put yourself in an important position and that’s to be expected.
That is not in question. No one can do more than they can do.

I mean no disrespect to those that serve to the fullest with this comparison, but CCP is quite capable of killing the joyful spirit of those that play it’s games.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. I give away billiions of isk to players all the time. I’ve donated more than 10 bil to Mike’s Operation School Bus, and I am constantly handing out money to people I see.
Sorry, I don’t consider giving a free BPC that will cost a new player more to build a ship than the ship is worth to be some kind of a gift.
One thing that this thread shows is that the often celebrated back-stabbing and manipulative culture of Eve Online creates/highlights people who can rise to the top because they’re super extra stabby and manipulative.
We got played and distracted by one of the pros. I’m sure there are a few people with sociology degrees who have a special sociologist woody right now after seeing how this thread was hijacked. I have regrets for allowing myself to played into that.
I don’t believe all of the CSM members are as manipulative but it’s likely that most of them are. Their agenda is almost certainly not your agenda, they will work against any agenda that doesn’t benefit their own. The CSM doesn’t help the people who just want to enjoy an increasingly better game that benefits all players and all playstyles.
Imagine voluntarily spending a lot of time in order to try to improve the game, reaching out to interact with players on the forums and then having to deal with insults from clowns all day.
The thread didn’t start like that. It’s about disbanding CSM. So far you haven’t convinced anyone to keep the group in charge of communication between CCP and the players.
Doesn’t matter whether it started like that or not (and, it did, by the way - your first comment here was to call me a “useful idiot”) - you made the statement, and it’s wrong.
I don’t need to convince anyone in this thread whether to keep the CSM. That’s up to CCP and they’re going to do that. I shared my views.
