And yet, how many new bro post of exiting the game does this forum have in the last decade? How much with CCP focusing on why certain players are leaving over a shorter period to other player demographics spells out that parts of the game are gate kept by null bear blocs?
Well, which is it? Given your comments above, with dismissing players you say you represents experience of the game, and needing some sort of Eve Intelligentsia.
In my experience, the CSM hasn’t represented me, it hasn’t done anything for the better of my game experience. It hasn’t been an effective feedback tool to CSM for the most part.
Exactly it is. So you don’t get to draw a line for the ‘players’, as you don’t, and never have represented all of us. CCP need to experiment, they need to try, and fail to learn and understand, they least of all need to be bound by sacred cows to a particular demographic of the player base also. What they don’t need, at a time of declining player participation is a social media coordinated attack in the ‘gaming journalism’ world, to stir up faux outrage and clicktivism LARPing to pressure them toward a player political end.

No, I mean the people who have actually served and know what is represented and what isn’t, what folks talk about to CCP and what they don’t. I have seen plenty of nullsec CSM members advocating for things like high sec and lowsec, faction warfare and wormholes, for example - advocating on behalf of the things those communities want, and not necessarily things that would benefit null. You don’t seem to think that actually happens, but you have no way of knowing for sure, but I do.
CCP is constantly focused on why people are leaving the game. Why do you think they have been spending the vast majority of their resources on the NPE, EVE Academy, Expert Systems and all this stuff? They’re trying to keep new players in the game.
I don’t think your experience represents what the CSM has actually accomplished, and I don’t think you’re giving us enough credit because you don’t generally like the whole thing. I’d be surprised if there was not a single thing the CSM advocated for or stopped that you supported.
You are such a pedant. CCP can decide how to monetize, and we, as player reps, can advise them on what’s okay and what’s not. And when they choose to do things that players don’t like, we can make it clear to them that players don’t like it, and that impacts what they do and how they do it. If you don’t think that’s the case, you’re not paying attention.
This was not faux outrage, it was actual outrage. We didn’t have to whip up the player base, they were whipped up - we merely reflected what they already felt. And the result was what we wanted - CCP pulled the pack. Yes, they claim they are going to try to rework it so it uses player built ships and address player concerns, and we’ll cross that bridge when we get there, but we were successful at the immediate issue.

Yes… Under this new model the WHOLE player-base is the CSM.
If we don’t like something CCP does, we stop paying subs.
It will never happen though. There is only one communication method every business understands very, VERY clearly.

I stopped paying for my sub and tossing a few dollars to PLEX or some package, as of the last pay period.
You are right though. That course of action will likely never happen in enough volume at this point for CCP to develop the game in a way I’d find a good value proposition given the activities I have enjoyed in game.
Of course people could all individually vote with their wallets.
I’m on the other hand glad that we have some players that CCP recognises as ‘representative for the playerbase’ and is willing to listen to, players of which some are engaging the rest of the players so that we can get feedback across to CCP without threatening to stop paying every time we dislike something.
Because really, if I had to stop paying for my subscription every time I disliked something in this game, I couldn’t be playing at all.
Yet why would I do that? I like this game and do wish to continue playing and don’t mind continue paying, I just want CCP to listen to feedback and it’s good to have (some) CSM representatives that we can talk to, people with short lines with CCP to bring over that feedback.
Is the CSM voting fair? I don’t really care, I just think it’s better than the alternatives in which CCP is somehow supposed to ‘listen to us all individually voting with our wallets’, as if that is going to accomplish anything. Get real.

This is the primary reason why the CSM is garbage. Nullblocs have too much influence over the game, they have the ability to rig the elections, they do not represent me, or anyone else I play with.
Nullblocs and their CSM members are actively harming the game through their propaganda outlets and they are driving new players away from ever trying the game. Those that do are heavily targeted for CCP sponsored recruitment, moved to null so that the nullblocs can extract ISK from new players. They’re guided into gameplay that ensures a quick burnout.
