After doing the relic hacking minigame, the circled text appears on the Selected Item window, which causes all the icons beneath to resize after a short lag. For me, that causes the orbit button to move to where the loot button just was, so I often end up orbiting the relic instead of looting it. Why don’t I just use hot keys? Nobody knows!
