[Resolved] Player Disconnections and Unable to Log In - 10th September

Trust me it is not, it is something that has happened a few times recently.

However, the overall track record is MUCH better than it was 10, 12, or even longer years ago.

The regularity of incidents like these is increasing again, though, be it chat issues, total server crashes, random crashes of random clients per computer or anything else going wrong.

a lot of simps on here but second crash in two consecutive weeks with no apology omega for your inability to maintain servers for an online game, are you CCP or Ubisoft?

Increasingly, I am experiencing drops and lagging in my play. I have been dropped 2 or 3 times in the last hour. My internet connection is fine…150Mbps. Even the forums lag. This makes it hard to enjoy the game. I experienced this level of lag prior to the last time Eve had an outage. Its not my PC and its not my connection.

I keep getting this. I just did a FRESH install. What do?

I have noticed that I get disconnected every time I open Google Chrome. What do?



Something that’s running in your browser must eat up all your net bandwidth and starve EVE Client :wink:

You may try to turn that something off by:

  1. set your start page in chrome to
    about:blank
    at
    chrome://settings/onStartupOpen a specific page

  2. disable (or remove) all plugins at
    chrome://extensions

If that doesn’t help, uninstall it and then install again.

I’ve used just about every browser available for windows and the top three I would suggest you use instead of chrome are 1. Edge (I know what you’re thinking but no its NOT internet explorer lol it seems to use the least amount of recourses and has support for things like adblock which for me is a prerequisite for anything i’d be willing to use anyways) 2. Opera GX (NOT the regular Opera browser, which from the numbers I’ve seen might even use more ram than Chrome does but the GX variant of Opera lets you tweak just about everything relevant to performance) 3. Firefox, mainly because of how many performance related apps you can use with it but overall a solid choice.

The main point I need to stress here is regardless of whether or not your issue happens to be browser related, for the love of bob you need to use literally any other browser BUT Google Chrome. Like its a meme for a REASON. Because it is absolute DOG WATER :facepalm:

I’m having quite the issue and apologize for the incoming wall of text.

I haven’t been able to get connected to the game since this time frame last week. Instant disconnect when i hit “claim” on the login as the farthest i have progressed, and it got worse to the point i can only rarely get that far. Even the support website isn’t letting me log in via the top right button, i have to cheat and select a category and hope the page pops up with all the fields to fill in then i can log myself in via the button lower down.

I made a ticket back on saturday and eventually managed to update it monday as i could not load the page to do so between that time. All i could do it reply to the email that a Gm sent me and hope it would be noticed (Who knows?)

Anyways i added in the launcher logs with its exceptions listed in red and routes to the eve server both before (no issue) and after running the launcher (huge packet loss) to the cloudflare server.

Multiple issues trying to reinstall, error messages etc. All documented in the reply and eventual ticket update when allowed. Got around most issues by using steam to install the launcher, then having all accounts listed including the new steam one.

Still the game instantly disconnects my client (whichever account) as i try to log into TQ and the dreaded “Network Connection lost between your computer and the EvE online server has been interrupted.” and its accompanying “Connection to server lost” in the popup windows.

All of the usual things have been tried, verify files, fix permissions, run program as admin, cleared browser cache and flushed DNS, ran loglite, a trace to the eve servers, clean install of the game on a drive with 400+ Gb free space.

The log still shows exceptions inside the client as it crashes, also the eve launcher sunday was giving me default warnings about a corrupt download of the //resources.eveonline.com in the client prefetch while trying to DL all files i believe. I have since turned the full DL option to OFF.

Right now sitting with the launcher open the game still has a popup now and again in notifications that it has just downloaded a new update and i should check the new stuff out!

I’ve spoken to my ISP admin and also the tech that did the installation and had no issues found on their end of things. It is only eve online giving me issues regarding my connection.

If anyone can point me in a useful direction other than awaiting an eventual GM reply ( I yet maintain hope!) it would be appreciated.
