Resource Wars. Where is CODE?

Also
Do not miss the TWO statements. Side by Side. Both equally inflammatory to ‘different sides of the fence’.
AND the emoticon.

AND it did get us back on CODE, and off defending suicide ganking in general to someone who doesn’t understand it.

More banter like this and we might all be a bit less snappier and reactive to the usual
YOU ARE ALL EVIL GRIEFERS CHANGE GAME 4 ME

And that is Said by someone who was a bit reactive earlier in the thread- Me, Patti x

TLDR: Sometimes, the best way to engage with this community, is through light hearted humour and HTFU, better for us all than just close thread, so A+ Falcon (not that he needs my approval) and A+ to all subsequent responders (not that any of you need my approval). He lead by example I would say.

Better call it friendly baiting to get back on topic, than trolling?

(Yes I know I cant stay on topic)

I really do wonder how many members of CODE realize just how much they sound and act like a cult? Their relevancy in hisec comes more from their obnoxious banter than anything else.

I know!

Everyone knows that Omir Sarikusa is the true saviour of the universe.

(He’s so dreamy)

If we didn’t realise it before, your revelatory and profound insight is bound to leave us enlightened, no?

We’re called all sorts of things, and most of them are not good things. It’s a measure of just how much folks need James 315 and the Code in their lives.

You agree that we are ‘relevant’, although you qualify the statement with a strange reference to our verbal back-and-forth, and not, for once, to any connection with suicide-ganking. I thought ‘obnoxious banter’ was one of the hallmarks of the EVE Online experience.

I’m bemused.

By making new players know that Eve is PVP game.

If HS was safer, a lot less people would know the pleasure of passing your opponent through the blasters, in the flames of FW or the depth of NS. A pleasure that is very specific to Eve and that makes it a great game.

People who are not willing to fight in a pvp game are bound to leave the game once they get bored of its very bad PVE content. CODE is willingly taking the role of the bad guy to make them want to fight back.

I know it is hard to believe but actually CODE helps this game a lot more than people in the help channel.
They LOSE money when they gank barges in HS. They don’t get anything in return, but hate messages and despise.

Just my opinion OC. You can keep thinking that CODE players are sadistic asocial people who need to kill space pixels to relieve the pain real life has put on their soul. I am not saying they are not.

I think the CODE are the miner’s friend, perhaps even more?

If one could mine in high sec with no risk, and with no chance of surprise ‘interdiction’ (cough), then

The Miner could have her heart’s desire… it would be as if all the ore was already hers for always, once she had maxed her setup which would not take long

But when there is fear and risk she can never be fulfilled- she can never Have what she Wants

And thus unsated and desiring she can actually play, instead of maximising her dependency
on AFK behaviours- ‘bot aspirancy’ if you will-

and the death of her desire.

Hardly a cult, dear? They just like to ‘play’ imho they know exactly how they come across, and it seems it’s effects are calculated,
its all part of the game, I think

do you like to play?

Poor you.

Here, let me shed a tear for you to ease your pain.

May this single tear sustain you.

Gladly

Of all my time spent in hisec, I’ve never had any direct confrontation with any CODE ops. In fact, outside of major trade lanes and trade hubs, I just don’t see codeites at all! I’ve had more trouble with wardeccers and my own stupidity than gankers. The only reason I swapped from mining in retrievers to procurers was due to traveling to nullsec where the tank is required to survive the rats out there. CODE’s forces aren’t all over the place. They do, however, make a ton of noise everywhere they go (In a manner similar to some radical political groups these days) which gets people talking and for some to look at counters to the clear verbal threats to their stuff.

CODE’s playstyle actually places them very nicely into EVE’s lore. All they need is FOBs of their own and they’d actually fit in with some of the npc pirate groups like the blood raiders.

Why so ?
If I was a CODE player I would know it, I guess.

This is unsettling coming from an honorary member of the New Order like yourself, Agent Falcon.

This comment is even funnier now, since we just had the best month in killboard stats in alliance history.

Of course you will now invent a reason why that does not count.

WUT.

I’ll answer this as if it weren’t a troll thread (which it obviously is)

Short answer, CODE. is killing people where it matters.

They don’t give a damn about some sec-status restricted (or npc standings) site or npc miners. Because neither of those end up on the forums making threads about how they lost a ship.

Maybe if one day they develop a consciousness and start posting shiptoasts on the forum we will, but until then a regular gank is more entertaining (not that this will ever change hahaha)

Then sadly, you don’t know everything about CODE.
Nice try tho

Heh. If Resource Wars involve risk, skill, and effort, you can bet that the carebears of Highsec will avoid them like the plague..

It’s true, the New Order is not a roll-play organization.

If you’d like to test this:

  1. Go to the roleplay forums and post one or both of James 315’s manifestos.
  2. Apologize to the resident role-players for violating the forums rules by posting out of character.
  3. Take a moment to call Salvos dimwitted.
  4. Enjoy enlightenment.

Hope this helps.

I approve of this comedic line.

It is really possible to adapt? Miners have been the go-to for casual kills since Eve’s earliest days.

So what’s next? Transports. The trade hubs and pipes are already taken. And do not really suit a soloist.

Missions? The Sister L4 would be the optional, but a delicate balance easily disturbed if too many opt here.

Incursions? A nut that has not been cracked yet. It does not rain purple any more.

Structures? hahahaha. no - I do not see it.

Just how many nights would you suffer lacking targets, if the trend continues?

*====

When you are going to calm down?
Will you have to disband
The targets you used to farm
Are no longer to be had
Always isn’t forever
No more bumping for you
The miners moved to null-sec now
They’re all serving in the donut blue

So goodbye to the Code
While Dogs in Mangers howl
You wont Permit outside of highsec
It’s all rorquals now

There’s always going to be someone somewhere waiting to be shot by gankers

Isn’t that one of the long-term goals of The Code?
