But the biggest problem is that EVE doesn’t retain a single setting, I’m not just talking about the overview, it’s every setting in the ESC menu, every window and position, font size, notification setting had reset to default.
I play other games and this doesn’t happen, I can go back months later with them and everything is as I left it.
So why is it that EVE can’t retain a players settings when they have to reinstall?
You mean Eve doesn’t leave unnecessary files bloating your hard drive, just on the off chance you decide to ever play that game again?
That sounds like a feature to me, not a problem. Whinedoze already has a big enough problem with Hard Drive Cancer, I don’t like my games doing it as well. When I uninstall a game, I want it off my hard drive entirely.
Plus you’re missing the fact that I can remove a drive completely, reinstall windows then download a game on a new NVMe, and hey presto after logging on, all my setting were saved on the server side, not locally, I’ve done it many times when upgrading.
