Lowsec is fine, tons of easy blitzable sites. I make an average of 300m in a few hours (2-4hrs)when I am trying. These days, however I have to conduct other business which sees me traveling a lot more and further so I don’t really go hard like I used to. Sure null sites pay out better but there are a lot more risk involved in traveling around null that allows me to cover greater areas with more signatures in lowsec. Just look at rogue trial yards…they take me 2min to run and have about the same chances as null drone sites at dropping sentient modules and drone chips. The Ruins sites take about 15min to run and those too have about the same chance as null sites to drop sentient modules and drone chips. Any of the 3/10 and 4/10 are easily blitzed and usually pay out decent for the time it takes to run. Another thing I noticed on my trips to null is the low amount of signatures per system…I have a few spots in lowsec that pile 8-12 signatures per system in almost whole regions.
Since when is null less safe than lowsec? I know this will sound like an opinion but… Null is provably the safest place to be, if you are in a corp anyway.
Only if you’re in the Alliance that controls that space.
If you are in the blue donut yes the safest place in new eden…however I think that’s a pretty boring life and enjoy the spice of lowsec and all the trickery and games played there. As a lowsec resident I tend not to go to null so much due to the time it takes to get around safely and then rerouting when I run into the inevitable bubbled camped gate. Sometimes I dip in through a WH but aside from that I hang in lowsec.
I think that it is comparing apples and oranges. Certainly there are some places in low-sec that are more dangerous to bear than in some places in null-sec. But then, equally, there are some other places in null-sec that are more dangerous to bear in than certain areas of low-sec.
But if I had to outlay a single reason why low-sec might generally be safer for a solo player to bear in, it would be that bubbles cannot be used. With the cloak+mwd trick and the ability to rock a full set of 5% hard-wirings, generally the solo player has a lower chance of being caught with his or her pants down, and even if they do get caught, they can get out without losing their pod just as they are able to in high-sec.
But I don’t believe there is a hard and fast rule.
yea in null you can make 500mil/hr+ running 10/10s you buy from other people. Someone was streaming it in gurista’s space a while back (right around the t3c nerf). IMO it’s a good example of risk/reward working. Also the value is mostly there because players will pay for it and not a pure isk faucet like anoms.
That said it requires you to have people to buy escalations from. I assume if you are scanning down your own sites the income is lower, but I don’t know much about site spawn rates. It also requires you to have a logistics chain to get your loot from null to a trade hub, or someone to buy your loot in null.
It’s something I want to go try at some point, also some super/titan ratting, but I’m in no rush. it’s better by highsec but not that much better.
I let y’all pick the money trees in null and bring me the fruit in jita.
If I just cared about the isk I’d probably go join goons and play into their market speculations. and/or get into JFs and market seeding. Going to make way more that way than I could running around in a cruiser.
Not bad, but not high end income either.
About that, when I used to live in Stain with my alliance buddies, I always loved to probe for DED complexes. I was probing in 6 systems and on a good day I got a 7/10 and an 8/10.
A 10/10 maybe every 2 weeks or so because they “wander” around the region or someone else found on when I wasn’t online.
The 6-8/10’s were not that regular appearing and I considered the tier at the end a good salary.
Modules or copies didn’t always drop and I even had a streak of 3 weeks with finding 8/10’s with only the tier in the station wreck
Bounty payouts and the tier accumulate to around 200m per complex but you had to find one first and they do not insta-respawn like sanctums do in infinte-isk-sec.
Per hours is a stretch. How much “per hour” is 200 million in 7-8 days?
However I was lucky every now and then in unrated complexes like a Sansha base or a True Sansha lurking in an asteroid belt and I found a high-grade slave omega twice (in 2 years) and I used wormholes to get those to highsec and sell them.
Nobody runs anomalies in NPC null unless you are bait.
.956 with full social skills in a 0.5 true sec system
Neglecting that no one does that.
I do a hybrid of blitzing, burners, and dumping 2800dps (between a rattler and an Eos) on field for things like Gone Berserk or Blockade. I am also max skilled in Golem, Vargur, and Kronos…the maruders don’t keep up with the rattler in raw dps, and kill you in travel time compared to a mach
So that is out.
Not to mention no one can run a Noctis at full capacity and a DPS battleship at the same time because that is a max DPS battleship? Right? So no omni tank, and it takes a good deal of micromanaging to keep up with…on top of a noctis.
Nope, I’d call BS right there, and I dual box PvPing.
