In my bubble people have been weeping bitter tears about how weak blops are. Thanks to the changes though, at least one player is coming back. CCP: OP success!
If you ask me, CovOps cloaks for Blops would be too powerful. A Blops group has two weaknesses, one of them is getting baited, the other is getting caught while organizing/bridging by a combat prober.
Without CovOps cloaks for Blops, this second weakness exists. The group is limited to the location of the battleship, which means a good combat prober has a chance versus a bad blops gang.
With CovOps cloaks for Blops battleships, this counterplay is gone because the group can pop up at any safe in system and easily relocate when someone makes a mistake.
Blops gangs are powerful, but should have counterplay when misplayed.
The damage increase / better tracking looks good, but i was really hoping for 1-2 utility highslots per ship like the triglavians have. Itās what makes their ships so strong and versatile (high damage and bonused neutralizer / remote rep / smartbomb combo)
Arenāt Edencom ships supposed to be next-level bait ships? I mean, you could sit in the middle of an asteroid belt in lowsec with one of those things and what roaming gang of PVPers could resist?
i dont know about the rest of you, but I have been asking for a better resist profile for blops for years. asked Brisc about bringing it up with CCP when he was first on the csm 3 ish years ago? and the expanded fuel bay is great, means blops can go further from where they stage before having to turn around to refuel
As usual, when something already broken OP gets buffed, people who need the substitute for skill are flocking towards it, and CCP cares for nothing as long as it can get their money.

Really glad to see BLOPs getting some attention. The resist change should be pretty nice and more fuel bay is always a plus.
That being said, I do wish we could take the full dive and make the fuel bay big enough to be a be dedicated bridger for a decent sized fleet and remain in a viable combat fit.
Furthermore, I really think itās time to just give BLOPs full cloak capabilities like the rest of the covops line. The restriction may have made sense years ago when the only things coming through were stealth bombers and recons, but ever since T3s got their rebalance, the gap in capabilities has dramatically shrunk.

Makes a nice change from the usual OPAF power creep state they usually release new ships in and then have to spend years nerfing them back into line.
Ok but this doesnāt help make them any more useful for fighting actual Triglavians.
They need to respect the Safety in HS AND not jump to suspects on field unless the suspect is specifically targeted. Until those things are done, you can rebalance them all you want, but theyāll still suck for the people you SUPPOSEDLY made them for.
