Rolling Thunder - New Update on 22 Sep

It’s 2150 instead of 1250, not 2160 instead of 2150.

According to CCP and the video they put out for them, yes. The Triglavians only invade High Sec/Low Sec. The EDENCOM ships were ships promised to Capsuleers by EDENCOM for fighting Triglavians.

So yes, these ships are SUPPOSED to be high sec PVE capable. Of course they’re just another broken promise from CCP. A lot of those lately.

I don’t understand at all why you do this supposition, pve is pve, high sec is high sec, no one should be allowed to say high sec is meant for pve.

No they’re not?

I’m from europe and have no clue what it is. Sounds cool/ evil though. Rolling Thunder… heard that one but all I knew is it was a military operation in Asia or somewhere. And sounds cool too… I think it’s a movie title. devs are from europe so they won’t know every detail of US history. And if you dig deep enough, lots of words/ combinations will sound bad in a language somewhere on the planet… can’t make everyone happy xP

About EDENCOM ships. No matter how long you polish the poop it remains poop.

It is simply a bad concept for Eve. In other games it might make sense to have an AOE/chain attack, but here it doesn’t work at all due to many mechanics.

Why not add cloacked drones capability whilst at there. Or remote cloacking of sort. Good stuff but maybe too powerful for everyone… I’m not trying to fix EDENCOM… it was unintentional…

civilian techs operating military equipment in a war zone …

Made me think, cloaked/stealth probes! OH the evil! :scream:

Would they appear in local?

They called the update rolling thunder not operation rolling thunder.
You know, like the weather when the thunder literally rolls accross the sky. It would be like naming it after auswitz if auswitz was actually called acid rain and trail of tears was actually called any other weather event or whatever.

“Rolling thunder occurs either as a result of the time difference between sounds from the far and near end of a flash, or when mountains, layers of air, or other obstructions cause reverberations.”

EDENCOM ships fire lightning bolts so obviosuly rolling thunder is a reference to that, not a military invasion.

I have found that any time I use words to describe something, there will be somebody who takes offense.

welcome to 2020

Thunderchild desperately needs attention too. In fact the whole weapon system would benefit from more damage to initial target with less to subsequent targets. I can’t even complete L3 missions in it.

Except you can’t use vortons and drones at the same time.

@HILO_JADAVEON_V @Max_Deveron The skills are seeded into the game - you can buy them right from your character sheet, everything except the vorton specialization skills and the invention skills for them. It is just a matter of going into your character sheet and dragging the skill into the queue and the game will ask you if you want to buy it from the character sheet.

You do not need to get gouged on the market.

while i love the look of edencom ships looking at the price for any thing that goes one them from weapons to armor or any thing else makes my eyes hurt as such i well will not touch the damned things

So except for the important skills you mean. It’s about 5 billion isk for the skill books currently all up. Of course no one is using them in any kind of significant way

What important skills? The whole ship and weapon line is fail.

Well ok yeah. Hard to argue that. The bonuses not only have no synergy, they actively work against each other. If ever a ship line should have no drones EDENCOM are that ship line.
A case of decent design concept, actively sabotaged in implementation.
