Salvaging

This idea is for explorers, salvagers, and mission runners.

The idea involves both Rogue Drones and Drifters.

Everyone has seen the large mess of wrecks left behind by mission runners but have never been able to successfully reach the wrecks.

A Rogue Drone Resource Scouts or Drifter Emissaries, both have very small signatures and are only able to be detected by a special probe launched from a standard, T1 probe launcher, are sent across known parts of space looking from mission site wrecks. Once discovered, the Scout or Emissary begins using the wrecks to build salvager and assembler drones. The salvage drone collects the wrecks reprocesses them into useable components, the first component always being a fabricator drone. The fabricator drone then begins assembling the wrecks into larger and larger components for ships up to battleship in size. The weapons and ammo systems are incorporated into the ships design. Any biomass is added to the living stuff that the Rogue Drones and Drifters are made from.

When the wrecks and salvage have been completely used up, the fleets will attempt to attack ships in system until all salvaged units have been defeated. The number of ships can range from 10 to 200.

To stop the skirmisher attacks the Capsuleer must probe down the Scout or Emissary using a probe launcher and special drone. With the Scout or Emissary defeated, the skirmish invasion stops, and the region is then able to be salvaged.

This type of game play is geared towards level one to three combat mission running Alpha pilots.
