You only see trolling because I have an opinion you don’t like, and you’ve shown on many occasions that when you encounter an opinion you don’t like you either want the other person to concede or to go away. You call me a troll yet:
I’m not insulting you, you are insulting me.
I’m not accusing you of being random people’s alts, you are doing that to me.
I’m not misrepresenting your arguments, you are doing that to me.
Even when I say things that we should agree on, you find some way to argue against it anyway.
You even keep telling me you are going to ignore me as you’ve just done again, so I stop responding to you then you jump back in the middle of me having a discussion with someone else so you can start having a go at me again.
All I want is a reasonable, balanced discussion on what can be done about ganking and the effect it has on the longevity game. But all the time people like you keep misrepresenting my position as some extremist solo PvE game then start throwing around insults, that can’t happen. My feeling is that you know this which is why you do it.

This is my main but I do have two other characters on my account and they do have kills, mainly in lowsec and recently as part of faction warfare. I’ve done a lot of research. But I’m not trying to change YOUR game. It’s not yours anyway, but I’m not trying to change anything, I’m trying to join in discussions and present my opinions but apparently I’m not allowed because my opinion doesn’t conform to that of the forum trolls here.
I don’t want to move on, and honestly the more players that tell me to move on the more I dig my heels in because I’m not going to be pushed out of a game by griefers.
Non sequiturs and straw men. It is the entire Lucas method of arguing. You make point A and he responds to a point B that he contrives. Challenge his own point A and he contrives some point B straw man to evade. That is the entire substance of his ‘discussion’ that he pretends to be having.
In fact Aiko pointed that out some moths ago…that he runs several ( often mutually exclusive ) threads concurrently and slithers between them. You won’t ever get an honest response to an honest question because the entire means of arguing has nothing to do with honesty.
It is pointless arguing with a contrarian who is simply not interested in the actual facts.
I’m not saying there’s one person posting on alts, I’m just saying that this discussion jumps from person to person with multiple people doing the same strawman and insult tactic. Just look at the few posts before yours and you can see it right there. I can’t say anything anywhere without being accused of being some random guy that apparently holds the same opinion as me on ganking, and one in three of my posts gets a respond that directly insults me or attacks me rather than opposes my view.
I’m sorry if you don’t like being bundled up in that but from my perspective you are encouraging them through selective responses. The discussion that feels like it was a million years ago now was that ganking is a core principle of EVE, and your response seemed to be an attempt to support that.
I have neither straw manned, nor insulted you (and I can’r speak for others), but you’ve certainly lumped me into the “could be an alt” conspiracy view.
…in which you just totally ignore any and every counter point that anyone else makes. That is not a discussion. If I point out fact A, I damned well expect fact A to be incorporated in the discussion henceforth and to alter the nature of that discussion accordingly. If fact A is just totally ignored and you just keep blathering away regardless…no way is that anything even remotely resembling a ‘discussion’.
I’m sorry if that’s the way you feel, but that wasn’t the intention. It’s rather ironic that I an others are all accused by a few people that are posting here of being alts of a random guy, but now because I said “half a dozen of you here could all be alts of the same person” one time, I’m now the conspiracy nut.

I aboslutely haven’t ignored points. Look up, I’ve acknowledged many, agreed with some disagreed with others. The problem is that I’m not agreeing with you and that’s because most of your “points” are just insults.
That is precisely why I conclude that you are Lucas…who, in addition to being identical in every other respect, also has the bizarre characteristic of regarding any disagreement with his obsessive stance as being an ‘insult’. That is how you play martyr mode to distract from your points being resoundingly trounced. It’s exactly what Lucas also does.
Plus you never answered my point about how does someone with a mere 45 days in Eve even have the experience of the game to form a valid position on its future. And no, I don’t buy all the ‘I watched lots of videos’ stuff.

CCP has to nerf power players in order to retain the general population. I feel like this is a win in the sense that we forced their hand. Villians in eve will always find a way to ruin the game. Its like a game of cat and mouse where the mouse just wants to have devilish fun and the cat is scared the mouse will one two punch all of their paying customers.
