My condolences, My Father (known in game as jasper alabel) passed in the hospital yesterday at 0421 AM ESTUStz… He was 69, and the family is trying to cope. He also went to sleep according to nurses and just never woke up again. We had been hoping to see him again(covid lockdown protocols no visitations) since he was making good improvements despite having a heart attack last week.

Wild issues described in the OP. I haven’t bothered with the escape frigate dealie, so I haven’t noticed any issues with it. Simple as that.
Yeah, I’ve noticed that as well over the past… several months? including one toon’s pod who’s been on d-scan in my home system for that entire span, every single day.

Those are (probably) empty pods spawned (usually) from server crashes during a session change. They apparently can also drop from abandoned citadel kills (like other space ships); although the server crash ones will be stuck in the center of the sun. You can use combat probes to scan them down if you want, but they will still invite a CONCORD response if you try to shoot them in high sec (no corpse and a blank killmail has been my experience when killing them).
Yep i have killed a few of these ghost pods in August that must have dropped from a citadell, one of them was even in the doomheim corp which raised a few questions at the time.
I know the exile of Niarja from HS has mostly moved you away from Ashab/Mad, but if you’re ever around Ashab and feel like hunting for a ghost pod:

Its in the sun, scan it down with probes and warp to it…lol you bounce out of the sun at ludicrous speed. its a bugged pod that i cant get

Jeeeeeezus… no wonder it’s on scan from so many places. When I first noticed it I thought it was visible from one end of the system to the other but I might have imagined that… or maybe not. O_o
