and CCP will try to coax them out of Exordium, but with Vets entering, they can help usher the newbs out of Exordium.. leaving exordium, won’t be like jumping from a 0.5 to a 0.4 though as currently when newbros jump and don’t pay attention to the warning and get shot with no recourse from CONCORD..
That picture was there to mock your comment. Read it as “wtf? lol”
OR the more time new players have to prepare for future content, the less frustrating and more rewarding their experience is going to be. As you said yourself, there is no tutorial for travelceptors currently, right? Well… I bet that in Exordium, we will have veteran presence, let’s say EVE University. So, that means that newbies will have a better chance to learn about ganking and travelceptors before they need that information in application. Get it?
By the same logic, highsec is a “walled garden”, if we’re thinking of lowsec. Same way lowsec is “walled garden”, if we think of null. Can’t you see the issue here…?
But you just said:
So which one is it? ![]()
Exordium is not a walled garden, we have Yulai gate and four shipcasters. Also:
That is partially correct. They will have a chance to learn high-sec ins and outs while in exordium, why do you think they can’t chat with a bittervet there or watch a youtube video while in exordium?
But yes, they will really apply the knowledge when they later, eventually step into highsec and leave exordium behind. But now they’re getting an opportunity to get ready to do so. I just don’t understand why does that bother you so much…
So extortion and contract scamming allowed?
no.
You’re not allowed to grief new players or scam them.
Extorting and scamming new players is against the EULA. This is the case for a long time.

How dare you.
You are not allowed to poke at the newbros like that frosty. Leave them be and allow them to transend into the spectroverse properly.
What I’ll wind blows my way.
My curses, evidently, have been in vain if you are here!

Thou Shalt Not Scam New Players! ( at least for 30 days )
Though, how does that work with public contracts? You can’t exactly specify that new players should not buy the “firesale” contracts for example.
Well said like the Snake of Exordium ![]()
Who would claim such a title before it’s too late?
new players do tend not to have a lot of isk, most scams tend to target rich idiots.
Thank you.
Snakes are considered wise in a lot of cultures and I am sure that’s what you mean. ![]()
Its gonna be real hard to show noobs the ropes of PvP if one can’t actually do any PvP. I’ve been in corps with ‘PvP practice’…those sort of fleets would be impossible in Exordium. I’ll probably just stick to offering some free T1 fitted ships and leave it at that.
1.0 diamond rats toned down in stats would show the way.
Sorry man but I’m not buying it, just sounds like Company PR propaganda they’re using as a reason for implementing it..
As for the current starter systems, CCP could have easily implemented a pop-up message stating that fact for when characters up to 30 days old log-in / spawn inside starter systems…
You’re missing the point. Exordium is not just about safety and these starter systems.
Also, what do you think of CCP running events such as Triglavian invasion in high-sec?
Ok, so what’s the actual reason then?
ThEy CaN LeAvE tO dO pVp
If in doubt and the reasons don’t add up then it might be “Industry standards”. Maybe advice from some business advisor is the cause or Pearl Abyss had a say in it.
Afterall “Industry standards” was also a reason given to introduce the launcher, which i still hate.
At least the players outrage was recognized when they tried to install an “industry standard” UI in form of a horizontal Neocom.
I find it problematic if you apply “industry standards” where it just doesn’t fit or where your own solution before was iconic. In this case of Exordium it doesn’t fit with the 4 empire lore…why would a newborn character wake up exactly in that training area with all the other lineages.
They do add up, to most people, at least…
That’s actually a decent take. Some players who understand the whole business side of things commented on this. Expansion is definitely seen as a positive by investors or most people who care about EVE being successful for the next decades.
Why?
No…
“That’s arguable.”
And I don’t really think that it is a good idea to also start arguing about lore here too. Jeez.
Did you see this article?
All you’re doing is spouting the Company PR line… And no, I’m not missing the point…
Also, what do you think of CCP running events such as Triglavian invasion in high-sec?
Yeah, I never engaged with Triglavian content because I don’t like it… Mainly for the simple fact that CCP forced it upon the playerbase…
That content was totally scripted to make all players engage with it, whether players wanted to or not… CCP basically removed the Sandbox aspect of the game by giving everybody negative standings towards them right from the start, making them automatically attack players by invading High Sec systems, erecting gun turrets and camping Jumpgates… No other NPC’s in the game did that or currently does that, not even Sansha Incursions, Forward Operating Base’s or Pirate Insurgencies…
And unless you have negative standings they dont attack you now.
“Sandbox” sometimes devs have to throw gas on the fire to keep it going.
So i take it you dont like the fact that if 2 new players join, one picks amarr, one picks caldari they cant play together and thus must be separated by however many jumps separates the career agents
Thats basically what youre saying “pr propaganda”
