Funny i never took you for one to see killing defenceless ships as decent “content”.
Sadly I believe this is also in part CCP’s reason for the change - Enough industrial cynos die they might be able to say - Hey look “era of Chaos” is working - look at all the destruction (involving 2 million isk lossmails)
my feedback for this “RELEASE” is that only good and positive thing is the “buy all” button on bottom of any killmail. Nothing else , I seriously wish that we have the old CCP team which was bringing REAL RELEASES with real updates, balances and content (events).
Shame on you CCP.
Even better!
Yes, I do agree that it is a cause of the stagnation. We need something to fight over.
Do you understand that you can switch between clones at the same station without any timeout before undocking?
Amazing work CCP. Now I can enjoy properly the risk / reward null sec gives.
Now null sec fights are more often because of the element of surprise. Already have a covert with cyno prepared (if I want to move very carefully, will just jump 5 sec before downtime).
I very enjoy the roadmap this is taken
Seems like an obvious development when you look at it.
No Local, means no free intel, so you need to defend defenseless miners, now with the cyno changes, you have to have combat ships there defending them, not just somewhere else able to be cyno’ed in.
Im waiting for use base changes in sov next, so you have to use the systems or lose them. All of EvE is becoming more hands on and less afk.
I’ve been playing for a little over a year and I’ve had it happen several times, both when Exploring and when doing Missions. Just because it hasn’t happened to you, you can’t assume it never happens to anyone else.
It’s understandable if some people want to play EVE casually - mine a can of ore or two or run a mission or two and then log out for the day. Especially as you get a family and daily obligations (even though too many bot aspirant miners use such excuses for not being at keyboard when their ship and pod gets blown up to be taken in general), you may not have time for several hours long fleets with a bunch of people on comms who like to debate on whether they like pineapple on pizza or not. And if you have to go afk to do a real-life chore while you’re undocked, it’s better to be in highsec at that moment. But EVE is not designed to be a casual-friendly game despite CCP trying make the game less hardcore ever since I started playing and pleasing the afk mining crowd ever since they introduced ore holds on barges. And despite these changes, the number of online players is in constant decline - those changes, even the introduction of free-to-play alpha accounts, have failed to bring new players and many changes have just pissed off bittervets, causing them to unsub. And if you’re a casual player, don’t gloat when nullsec gets nerfed since what happens in nullsec mostly doesn’t affect your playstyle. Instead, understand that EVE isn’t like most MMOs where you can’t have unconsensial PvP and learn to adapt to restrictions the game has put on a casual player who doesn’t want to PvP and doesn’t have time to log in everyday.
Man, some of the arguments and counter-arguments here make me question if adults are the main demographic for this game or not.
■■■■■■■ yikes, guys.
Capitals should be moved by more than one person.
In all the years I have played this game, I have never seen CCP say anything like this.
Thats why there are different levels of risk vs reward. Broken though they may currently be. CCP is fixing it finally.
The exception is if you specifically study them for farming on a separate character, and then you take away what they were studied for. And if such characters several? In my case, CCP just cheated me out of money and time.
@CCP_Hellmar and the other.
Take back this changes and ill come back with 3 Accounts. Thats what i offer.
This new Establishing Warp Vector is handy - well better than the waiting for who knows how long for the warp to kick in. At least now there is some visual guide that you’re going to enter warp soon (maybe).
It’s just a shame that the indicator is still so random !!!
Great if it was a constant rate of progress on the bar however that isn’t the case.
I’ve had it go nice and fast and then suddenly slow down to a crawl for the last, maybe 10% and also had it progress and then go backwards !
I mean great to have an indicator tho really poor implementation and pointless if it’s going to be as random and unpredictable as before.
Before the patch initiating warp after unlocking was a very random and exceptionally slow task… It was often best to stop your ship to make it slow down a little and then initiate warp otherwise the ship seemed to take twice as long as it should to enter warp. Seems that’s still sometimes an issue tho maybe not as bad as it used to be.
6 out of 10 on this feature CCP. Great idea. Gives a little more useful info tho kinda messed up on it’s implementation.
@CCP_Lebowski Interesting that you bother responding to this thread, but no CCP devs bother reading or responding to the threads on blackout or cyno changes…
Option to disable the “Establishing warp vector” bar?
hey wisenshizer, ever heard something of Ansiblex Jump Bridges? Or has CCP these things disabled too? I dont want give them any idea here
the changes will hit small corps in Null, not really the big Allys, and the small corps in Null are players trying to have fun too… you are just an ignorant a-hole on his way to his 10k posts in EvE forum…get a life little man
I btw, demand a LIKE and a DISLIKE button here in Forum, than i dont have to click on hearts for every post i agree with
or you can look at your speed indicator and wait for it to hit 75%…
That bar is nothing else than the speed meter in the HUD. It’s useless. Instead of showing the speed to warp like the speed meter, it should tick down the 3 minutes until warp. This vital bit of information is not displayed anywhere in the UI.
If it were displayed, it would provide a lot of benefits. You would have peace of mind knowing that it’s only so much longer until you warp. You could also tease the wouldbe gankers and bumpers with screenshots of the EWV progress. And they could use your teasing to figure out exactly how much time they have.
