I kind of does. I mean, when someone uses the time for how recently a player started to play EVE as their sole reason to shoot them, then they are using a real life aspect to base their decision on.
The question then is, is one a sociopath because of the decisions one makes, or because of the consequences they have?
When I pick up a gun and shoot at you in RL, but I miss, what am I? Or if I was a sociopath and I’d be living in the middle of the woods with nobody around, would I then no longer be a sociopath or would I be a lonely sociopath?
While I’m not trying to label others as sociopaths, am I not so sure if shooting others in-game without any in-game reasons wouldn’t allow for some kind of judgement on that person in real life when their decision is solely based on a real life aspect.
Whatever one wants to believe in the end, it’s still only a game. And if one uses a game to live out a bit of sociopathic tendencies, and doesn’t turn it into harassment (which is against the EULA) do I not see anything wrong with it. Human nature isn’t perfect.
