No that is exactly what is supposed to happen anytime the reason for change fails to hold water.

If you have been around for 13 years and have 144m skill points you should know as well as the next guy that the number of skill points you have does not give you a “I WIN” button you can push. While it gives you an advantage… but that is no different than the advantage that a professional athlete who has been in what ever league for 10 years vs the rookie who just started. While they are both “experts” in their field only one of them has the experience to utilize those skills effectively.
I mean anyone could blow a few thousand dollars and get the skills to fly a Titan… but would they be any good with that titan? No.

for me as a new player this is a huge downer! gettin new skills means nothing anymore, i can just buy em. also i can somehow understand the pro injector people but im 100% against p2w, injectors and plex! i joind eve because i wanted to play a real oldschool mmo again were u have to earn ur stuff and not buy em with ur rl money! the mmo market is full with these easy mode p2w games and i freakin hate it!
and seeing now that i can buy everything in eve online with my rl money really isnt fun!
for me and my ‘‘rl friends’’ this is a huge downer and 3 of em (we started with five) did already quit because of that reason! they say this game is p2w… i try to argument against it but its aint easy!
well i will stay with eve because atm there arent much better options and i still have alot of fun and did already make alot of new ‘‘ingame friends’’ (i love my corp). i just hope ccp finds a way to reduce this skill injector p2w money shop madness!
but i can buy ingame stuff with my rl money…. that makes it p2w
p2w does have nothing to do with players gain more knowledge or skill playing the game

but paying stuff with rl money = p2w is just a fact, nothing changes that! sure i can buy a ship, and u kill me and take that ship from me over and over again but the people with alot of rl money will always be able to buy more ships than poor people! skill doesnt mean nothing because if im rich i can buy a army of titans or other expensive ships and poor people have to work along time ingame for it!
ship skins/colors/deco stuff for rl money is fine for me in any game!
but gettin ingame money/skills/items/ships for rl money makes it p2w! fact!

They don’t understand this…eve is NOT P2W because you cannot actually “Win” this game…this opinion stays regardless what CCP does and also regardless what you say because in their eyes it shouldn’t be P2W so it isn’t whatever will come…
For me P2W is EVERY ingame advantage you can buy with REAL money and not only ingame…
Bottom line…
But this definition does not count for them because…you know…you can’t “win”…
Well I think basically its this;
If you feel EvE is P2W, then it has been so since ever, the opportunity to increase your Isk by doing things out of game involving money has been around at least since PLEX existed, and probably before.
If you dont feel its P2W, then its natural to be cautious about any new scheme involving getting a credit card out.
Take your most skilled character and downgrade it to alpha and go out and get 10 solo kills, then we can continue talking about p2w in eve
