Skill Plans

Why is it that when I add a skill to a skill plan that requires prerequisite skills to unlock it adds those skills too (which makes sense) BUT it includes skills I already have.

Why is it showing skills i already have leveled to the appropriate level plus the time it takes to train them as if I haven’t done that already and why cant I remove them from the plan?

Is it possible to use unaloccated skill points on skill levels you haven’t achieved vet? For example let’s say I wanted to level Drones and hasn’t leveled it at all vet. So 1 set Drone levels 1 through 5 into the queue. Can 1 set my skill points to use on the 5th level while the first 4 level naturally or would I have to wait until its level 4 before I can use those skill points on level 5?

I see you can only have i believe 125 or 150 skills queued at once… what happens if you set and statt training a skill plan that exceeds that limit, what happens to the excess skills on the list?

Lastly,
I notice when vou make a skill plan it shows vou the total amount of time it would take that plan to train. Does that time include the increased Speed you qet from Omega PLUS if you have one of those genius boosts that increase all your attributes by +12 for 24 days and have Biology at |evel 5 does the overall skill planning time include those skill speed bonuses too?

Skill plans are generalized. Once you save it to your personal plans, it will account for your already-trained skills.

No. The skill and level need to be trainable before you can apply unallocated SP. You can sit on your unallocated SP until you’ve trained 1-4 and then apply it to 5, but tbh, I would just go ahead and spend them.

If you’re looking to maximize “value” from your unallocated SP, spend it on skills your stats aren’t/won’t be well specced into for training.

IIRC it accounts for them, but not for their expiration. For instance, plugging in a +4 accelerator took a Gallente Titan training plan from 145 days to 124 days on my alt, but there is no way that 8 days of +4 stats is shaving 21 days off my training time.

Not really sure on the skill limit question, it’s never come up for me.

This. Skill plans are designed to be shared, so if the skill plan editor removed the skills you’ve already trained (instead of hiding them, as the viewer does), you wouldn’t be able to share the skill plan and have it be meaningful to someone who hadn’t trained the exact same skills as yourself.

So you’ve never had more than 150 skills in queue? I would think thats pretty common in eve lol. But my plan is to level ALL level through 4 skills (well not ALL but the ones I want) the hard/normal way and ONLY use skill points/injectors for level 5s

Now THAT makes total sense. I wish they didn’t include the time next to those skills though like you didn’t level them already… speaking of which does the overall skill plan time include those skills you already leveled (since theyre on the list) or are they omitted from the actual time?

Maybe I have at some point, but my “main” characters are ~20 years old and most of their “serious” training took place before skill plans existed, much of it before a skill queue existed, and still more before the more generous skill queue length allowances. I certainly can’t recall it ever being a problem for me.

It will account for the skills you’ve already trained when the skill plan is saved for your character. It’s only when you’re editing it that it includes everything.
