Skill Points in EVE Online are the most valuable commodity

Which one bro? We have the frustrated statistical and the AI powered enthusiast.

Pretty antagonistic if you ask me. But your input left me with an ambiguity that is slowly killing me.

Hey man just cuz you don’t understand mine doesn’t mean it isn’t perfect logic. I’m also 100% human and can elaborate. Some of my posts just require a very high level of expertise. What would be nice is if someone who was financially and economically sound would speak to me about what I said in the post… Instead of talking about me. This forum is very strange in that way.

Honestly I would like a high level stock trading executive to look at what I just said and tell me what he thinks… I’d like to hear their viewpoint on the market. But the only thing I get is angry nerds… Which I am one myself.

Or one of the game developers that would be nice to hear what they think about it…

Here it is clear that using skill injectors to reach 120M SP in 7 days will save you 5 years of training. You will need to spend 2000 dollars for the 80000 PLEX bundle but you would immediately be able to play with the veterans.

PLEX required PLEX bundle price PLEX price skill queue time
1573 $125.00 $0.0417 3 months
19348 $650.00 $0.0325 2,3 years
35079 $1,300.00 $0.0325 3,6 years
66539 $2,000.00 $0.0250 5 years

These are the numbers and the facts. At least if you have the cash to spend and can get passed the idea of spending this amount of money on a game, I mean people have been spending way more on Star Citizen. I rather spend it on EVE Online because this game supports pay to win so I can finally be good at something by just paying for it.

I’m trying to tell you that, like, 5th time now? You’re being unrealistic, the few people that can don’t even read the forum…

I don’t know what you want to achieve.

Wow! Captain Obvious must also be an alt of yours i suppose? I am glad you realized all that.

To pay your efforts back, i can offer you two other win-win-win observations:

  • If you lock a target and activate your weapons, then your target receives damage points. If they overwhelm the targets repair capability or the response of CONCORD, then the target gets destroyed and you can loot it.

  • If you enter your credentials into the launcher and press “Play Now”, then the whole sandbox of EVE Online opens up to you in a perfect accessible way.

No really. Your “insights” happen to be of no use to anyone. They are so obvious that everyone is able to figure them out and use them as needed. I am on the border of blocking all your alts and report your threads for moderation as the SPAM that it is.

This has to be some AI experiment where it tries to interact with people about the most obvious understanding of basic game concepts. Otherwise i don’t know.

There’s nothing in the OP that needs to be addressed, really.

The rest of you… What compels you to allow yourselves to be repeatedly trolled by this poster?

They do not believe what they are posting. They are posting it for the express purpose of riling you up. It’s a performance, it’s not real, and it can’t hurt you. Flag it as spam and think thoughts about something else, because repeatedly engaging with engagement bait isn’t going to make it stop.

I don’t believe that. And you also have no idea why we reply. How do you know we also don’t get benefit from it? But thank you for your advice. I will continue to reply but do not worry about my reasons. I promise you they are valid.

I think the biggest concern here is the intentional misleading of our new and vulnerable players to be making the worst financial decisions. The rest of it is fine by me.

I mean did you read the post that I made? Did you not think it had value? It’s literally a breakdown of the metrics behind the economy for the largest portions of its sectors.

Another thing for you to consider for your own benefit… Have you ever had an idea that you weren’t quite sure how to test it? The best way to test it is to begin writing it down. This takes ethereal ideas and pounds them into a concrete format. Once you are happy with that rough draft you can then create a final copy and release it for peer review.

Now if it is a bot straight from CCP sales department… Just think of it like the United States government trying to sell treasury bonds. Don’t hate the fact that they do it. Understand the reasons why they need to do it.

So in the end I don’t really think he’s going to be able to convince new and vulnerable players… Because the forum junkies are here. But if a few idiots take their visa and spend a few thousand dollars or a couple trillionaires want to invest in this before they quit the game… It is actually a good money sink so that the rest of us don’t have to deal with the inflation.

And for those who are economically minded and financially sound… 10-year treasury bonds are the same thing as people paying in the new Eden store for 12 months of Omega on a sale and these sales can be used as a measure of confidence similar to gold buying trends in the real world.

Everyone just needs to understand that true intentions are never publicly posted. For example did you see the post about the GM week and showing a picture of your co-pilot? Anyone that’s ever ran a huge organization or even a large discord would know that this is just a standard community activity as common as all level ones get together and race across the map… It’s not actually somebody that cares to see a picture of your dog. It is a way to create community involvement and it’s done on purpose by leadership for your own enjoyment.

Don’t hate the player hate the game. But if you doubt any of the concepts I listed simply try it yourself.

That is because you are a veteran but think how many new players who can not yet do much as they risk to get ganked while doing boring mini games. Not everybody wants to mine ore or do missions. The skillfarming business is totally safe and is cool lore too. It adds up when you have multiple omega accounts. I think that most of the people voicing strong critique should let players themselves decide if my ideas are helpful. I like minting sp more than grinding in the belts.

jfc how many ■■■■■■■ gd alts do you have to talk with??

Problem is mainly that your ideas - for now, until you maybe come around with something worthwhile - are not creative in the sense that they are a) known for years and b) everyone just figures it already out on their own just by playing the game.

And if that wasn’t enough, there is a whole book about skill farming on EVE Uni:

This drivel is outdated: Skill Farming - EVE University Wiki (2019) :upside_down_face:

probably because skill farming hasn’t really been relevant since 2019

Not relevant? No wonder people are bored and are leaving by the thousands every second (exaggeration). Let me get this straight, new players and old ones they figure out that they can collect every week 200M ISK just with one training cue going. That’s 800M ISK per month. How is that not relevant for new players? How long have you been in the game? Let’s say 5 years. That is a passive income of 48 Billion ISK just with one skillcow.

So let’s explain it simple. It is a different way of playing this game. This is a sandbox and you are allowed to be creative.

I already explained that I like skillfarming and I want others to know about this. The question is what makes you so special to dictate what is and is not valid to post. Exactly, nothing.

Ignore my posts if you don’t find my posts interesting but if you want to express your freedom of expression (so you have the right to post in any forumthread) then it is kinda daft that you wont allow that privilege to others. Now let’s see:

Have a nice day, capsuleers :face_blowing_a_kiss:

Your AI broke or you didn’t ask it, I’m the one defending your right to post.

And you keep avoiding my questions, don’t drag me into your mess dude.

You posted like normal people can spend all that money in a game, I just pointed that out, you keep dodging my points. It’s not like you are offering anything to the common player that pays $15 box a solution.

I also pointed it out your scheme seems like a tentative to sell consulting of some sort, this is between you and FC.

Do not paint me like a censor, you cannot provide a single SS proving that. If you post stupidity I’ll bash you, but I never asked to ban people, I don’t even flag posts, unless they are illegal ofc.

Skill farming as profitable activity was quickly scaled up to the point it was barely or no longer profitable and instead mostly broke even at best.

This means the hype of skill farming was soon over.

Skill farming still is a relevant strategy to keep additional omega accounts subscribed at a low cost.

Hang on a minute…

If you buy an extractor for 460M then your balance is -460M

If you sell for 720M ISK then your balance is +260M ISK

So how on earth are you making 220M ISK a week after subtracting costs ? That means your ‘costs’ would have to be just 40M ISK a week. But if you convert a 3 month Omega account cost into ISK it is about 800M ISK a week.

Which means you are actually running at a 550M ISK a week LOSS.

your costs are 460M for the extractor and you already are paying for the omega account. Then extracting 500000 SP a week will make you 800M ISK profit. Do you get it now? The only thing you need to sacrifice is the skill queue generating a new skill. You could have a secondary character training for skill extraction. So every 7 days you extract the 500K sell the injector and start over. While your primary character has nothing training in the queue. It is a trade off. I like it myself, people on the forum all hate it. Try it yourself, maybe it’s a good idea.

No, because above you say…

“I would advise you to start with 1 extra omega account”. That implies you are adding Omegas to do it all.

And if you try to farm just one Omega…your main will not be getting any SP while you farm the alts, which sort of defeats the whole idea of trying to get more SP.

I think the impact of this is significantly underestimated, too. As long as you have the wherewithal to spin it up in the first place, you can basically run an arbitrary number of Omega accounts with little-no marginal cost (or even a little profit still, I think, provided you leverage all the relevant sales and bulk offerings), and it’s reasonably passive.

If you could stick to just the one character I would appreciate it, it is annoying to have to put the same person on ignore repeatedly.
