Skill Points in EVE Online are the most valuable commodity

This can only be done with Omega accounts. So you will have to commit and it can not be your way to pay for subscription. It is a nice addition of 200M ISK a week. It is easy to set up and it is free ISK. I have 7 accounts but with a weekly surplus of around 200M I could grow into a skillfarm of hundreds but because the game mechanics don’t lend themselves for running that many of those skillcows (go in each account and do the procedure over and over for hundreds) it doesn’t scale well at all.

Alternative route which I am taking is to throttle the skillfarming for a nice steady income to sustain your ingame lifestyle. I will probably still have around 20 accounts farming the SP because I like that kind of gameplay. I also throw money at it. I personally just dislike the grind and the skill queue enslavement. That is why I wrote up this skill farming post.

why do you have to post with multiple accounts? its annoying asf

If you have just one Omega and a char on that which is maxed out on SP then I can understand how farming the other chars on the account could yield a profit. But…if you are getting other Omegas for the sole purpose of farming them then you clearly have to include the cost of the Omegas in your accounts.

Interestingly, last time I bought PLEX I converted that to about 13BN ISK…and the cost was less than a year’s subscription. That my genius way of having ISK

I understand why you think that and if you like your way of playing eve then that is fine too. Most people freak out when I mention actually not using their skill queue for training. I am not those people.

I know that I can easily build a dedicated character by paying through buying the skill injectors. I also pay with real money for my subscriptions and also to have a lot of extra ingame cash. For example: I choose to do solo PVP with a Legion.

I SP to create a good rounded Legion char and blam I can STOP the skilltraining to free up the queue to train for extraction the SP on a second character. Each week I can still use those SP to add to my main or I can sell the Large Skill Injector. It is the monetization of skillpoints. In real life time is just time but in EVE it is a commodity a tradeable good.

I need to thank Gloria for extracting the answer you were dodging.

So, it’s clear you admit you are a very special case of player. AND you also has a clear inversion of values, REAL TIME >>>>>> EVE TIME, I’m not going to even start talking about your PoV, I don’t wanna know for real.

The reader at this point, even if lazy, understood my points, engaging with you is really, and it’s stated on your post, a waste of REAL LIFE time.

Again, good luck. While you are totally entitled to your play style, your posts are some distorted “I have lots of money and time”. Good for you I guess.

You want to provide great economical and serious insights into EVE, while at the same time you can’t manage to keep the same account logged into the forums for more than 2 posts straight?

And you also don’t seem to get the impact on your credibility by doing so? (apart from the content)

Will you pinky promise that you do not create more accounts after i blocked you as well?

Youre late on the SP farming gravy train as its been around for several years now. Also your numbers are woefully inadequate as you dont factor in the upkeep of the accounts costs in your equations and you just tell people to buy PLEX and stuff to get good returns in SP farming. With that reality you should just buy PLEX and sell it and call it PROFIT and be done with it.

SP are a great store of value that many people have profited from throughout Eve in various ways. The character bazaar was the first, then SP farming and omega character farms of various activities, and then buying characters for cheap and stripping them of SP.
Beyond that you have added nothing new to any conversation.

And please stop with the schizoid/D.I.D.-like character hopping. It really doesnt help your case.

Well, in my opinion SP’s are indeed a very valuable commodity…

Especially when I view my character info on https://www.qsna.eu and compare the extraction value to the recreation cost..

In other words, I definitely wouldn’t farm my character for SP’s…

First, my character info:

Second, the Extraction value:

Next, the amount of LSI’s it would take to recreate my current SP total:

Lastly, the cost to recreate my character’s SP total:

Hopefully I’m reading that correctly…

Anyway, the price of skill book’s would also need to be included which raises the cost to recreate my character SP’s…

So yeah, I view my character SP’s as a very valuable commodity…

ET is 400mil SP atm with 28mil unallocated hes built up. Sort of the same value you got with DeMichael. I have kept him training as my main for years, paying CCP/FC simply because I enjoy Eve and want to fund them directly from my pocket with yearly subs. I can PLEX him but its a principle thing for me.

Its an accomplishment rather than a wallet thing. For me that is important to build up something over time and know that its unique because of the time put into it rather than throwing money at the problem. In life Ive found that everything can have money thrown at it to “fix” things but some of the best things are those slowly grown over time, effort, and fun.

Which took you organically 20 years? That is 20 years of Omega gameplay? 20 x 12 x 20 = 5000 dollar. Is it fair to say that your toon would be worth around 5000 dollar or around 220 B ISK? I wonder would you ever sell the char for around 220 to 250 B ISK?

Yeah i agree, also time is money…

When I say time, I’m talking about various aspects of the character such as personal Security Status, Standings, Assets, etc.. That all adds up as well…

So to actually recreate my character stats with a brand new character, it would take trillions of ISK and probably years of time for a brand new character to finally achieve the same value that my character currently has…

So yeah, I definitely wouldn’t farm my character for SP’s, especially since all the time that I invested into my character is something I wouldn’t want to do ever again…

For me the most valuable commodity, in and out of the game, is time.
I don’t care about SP, Isk, PLEX or whatever ship I may or may not have. If I have no time I cannot play and more time I spend in game more fun I can have.
But that’s just me.

This occurs because of real time constraints on life, but I whole heartidly agree life makes these unfortunate realities occur a lot more than we would like. And I think thats why SP trading occurs in its forms because not everyone is graced with infinite time to play Eve and so you trade your time/money for SP and progress in game.

Some people consider it cheating yet I do not. Mainly because there is value inherent within the person for what they want to achieve and do in Eve. We cannot judge what value limits are placed upon our time, nor should we. I know people who prechildren era had a lot of free time and then life piled up on them and they had to change how they consumed Eve as a hobby. This isnt a bad thing just a reality of life.

Yes. Thats 20 years of straight playing and paying.

No, I would not sell ET because to me ET is “me” in game. Its a value I place on him as both a character, personality and temperament of myself, time in game, connections hes made, things hes accomplished and done in game, etc. He is for me the fullness of my time in Eve if we could contain it within an avatar and character.

And to me that is priceless.

Yeah that is true a lot of that stuff is priceless or cannot be easily reproduced at all. It adds up to a lot in game.

I removed all my skill points so that I could become a Highsec ganker.

That is clever, you can repurpose your skillpoints.

Today I learned that you can use skill injectors to push a character on a alpha account passed 6 M SP.

Next week I will try to put her on one of my 7 omega accounts. Those paying close attention will notice that this cuts costs in the skill farming business because I created a skillcow on a free alpha account so no subscription costs just a whole bunch of large skill injectors and a little insanity gets the job done

Yes, alpha characters can use skill injectors to get past the 5 million SP passive training limit. Daily Alpha injectors or regular small/large skill injectors all work!

What exactly is your goal with these things though?

You seem to extract, inject, move around characters from one account to another all to save costs, but wouldn’t it result in the lowest costs per SP not to inject at all but to simply let passive Omega training do it’s thing with high attributes?

You can pump out skill cows and sell them or use them.
