only mining boost was possible inside a POS ! the combat links need to be parket outside of a FF.
could be wrong but i cant remember that i ever could use a combat boost under a FF.
but i agree, its way better with ongrid links ! and these ships can be still very strong combat ships

park yourself a few aus away from force field, align to it and boost away… if something dangerous comes you can warp in.
Actually, I think the player behind Iron Bank was eventually banned for RMT.
RMT is selling in game assets for $$$, which is strictly verboten.
Some of it might still be sloshing around. Running a third party gambling site wasn’t against the eula at the time. Only those caught involved in RMT got banhammered.

No, they can be kept unallocated all the time.
In fact many chars have a nice amount of free SP just in case they need an emergency injection for a particular module or ship. Still these SP are part of the total skillpoint sum of each character.
I should’ve written may be applied somewhere or could. They don’t have to be applied anywhere until the player decides. I do have a lot of unallocated SP as well. I’m building up the amount for future emergency allocation.
I don’t know why but I don’t like to spend SP. It feels like SP is more valuable than isk.
So this way a char can gather more SP than the sum of all skillable SPs.
