Oh man in the Uk those people call themselves “freemen of the land” and are also mistakenly and hilariously under the impression they are exempt from the law

Is that the nutters who think the Magna Carta gave them certain rights?

More than likely the same people. They seem to think that they can waffle some rubbish about not being a corporation and not get done for driving their criminally un-roadworthy old banger through a pre-school at twice the speed limit with no license.

10 times out of 10 they end up getting arrested anyway because HTFU life isn’t fair.

If there’s one video i can watch and wind up on the side of the guys in the clown suits, it’s one where they’re arresting a freeman of the land :christmasparrot:

I don’t know about your variant over there in the UK, but here in the US these guys put alot of weight on various phrases and words. By declaring themselves “a man” it some how means they are not part of “the corporation” that is the U.S. and thus, the laws no longer apply. So they’ll start talking about all these words and phrases and how if you use them just right: boom you can ignore most if not all laws. It is really kooky stuff.

Yes they are equally misguided over here.

It’s a bit like those old laws like “you can shoot a Scottish person with a crossbow on a Thursday if he’s carrying flowers” kinda thing. It might have some basis in fact, and may even still be written somewhere, but try it and you’ll find out why Scottish folks are still carrying flowers and why people still need driving licenses :oncoming_police_car:

This is true. So in essence, Don’t haul PLEX or skill injectors!

It’s true but I am going to elaborate on it as it can easily be quoted out of context.
You can haul whatever you like. But be aware that in space there are some evil individuals that could attack your ship if they think the value of the heist will be more than the value they loose (ships). And some things are attracting those foul creatures of the void :

  • A cargohold filled with valuable items. Plex and Skill injectors or Skill extractors are very expensive and are in high demand. So try and hide them if possible, never transport plex as you should add it in your plex vault (if possible)

  • Flying on autopilot, they see you warp in at <10km of the gate and wonder if you aren’t plaing with your waifu pillow instead of space trucking right.

So, make sure you can :

  • Avoid them by minimizing the amount of above points thus lowering their ‘TRIGGER’, it’s kinda like stealthiness.
  • Defend yourself or have some people come along to help defend you (incuding rep)
  • Scout ahead to see who’s sitting at the gates scanning (even covertly).
  • Cover the loss of ship, fitting and cargo.
  • Fly on a jumpclone for the dangerous trips where you don’t want to loose all your precious implants.

Anyone else has tips ?

You forgot the most important one:

  • get a mining permit
