Speculation: Big upgrade to relic and data sites in near future?

Recently, updates to the game and other facets of the game in general have been suspiciously suggestive of a near future long-term goal, potentially this year’s Winter Update, featuring a large upgrade to Relic and Data sites in particular.

  1. The bullet points in recent Scope presentations have had a disproportionate focus on archeology and security:
    1. 9.18: Dr Hwung Rudolfo presents groundbreaking vision for future of security AI integration.
    2. 7.22: Minmatar scientists publish paper on tachyon dating that promises to unlock new artefact aging techniques.
    3. 7.22: Renowned cyberneticist Dr Hwung Rudolfo wins prestigious Jin Mei science award for work with Upwell Consortium.
  2. Not only was an entirely new post-New-Eden race added last year(Deathless), this year has had a major event focusing on another (drifter crisis)
  3. The initial wave of Legion’s changes added data and relic sites as a sov upgrade.
