I am proposing we align the colors for Character Standings similar to the Overview, Watchlist, and Broadcast. Not sure how to proceed or make this more formal/official.

You need to post this into Ideas & Features. Take a look around there and see how others started their threads.
If you think it’s really just a small change and doesn’t turn the game upside down then have a look at the Little Things thread and follow it’s format described in the first comment.
