This is probably answered somewhere but I’ve gotten contradicting answers from a couple sources.

Regarding agent missions, your standings are affected by accepting or declining a mission but what if you just hit the ‘X’ button and close the offer window? It appears as though the mission remains in ‘Offered’ state forever. Is this a way to effectively decline a mission while avoiding the penalties to standings that would happen if you declined it?

As long as you dont accept it, or end it after accepting, or declining within a 4 hour window, it will "expire " i think after 7 days with no repercussions to your standings
