Strategic Cruisers, which is best?

For solo low-sec or NS pvp…

and for small gang pvp?

I’m leaning towards the Legion with HAMs & some neuts, but the Proteus also looks great with 5 Heavy Drones…

Depends on what you want to do with it.

The Proteus with it’s hyperspatial subsystem is superior for smartbombing, the Loki is fun to one-shot explorers with artillery Tornado-style, the Tengu can get some of the longest ranges in the game to snipe enemies from afar, the Legion can neut your enemies a whole lot, the Loki has incredible web range, the Proteus can fight with 5 drones, the Legion doesn’t need to bring stacks of ammo on long trips because of crystals, etc.

Pick something you want to do and a playstyle you want to try and see if any of the four can do what you want to do.

In my alliance we mostly use Lokis, but I’ve used all four ships for various tasks.

I’d say the Legion offers the widest range of possibilities and performing really well at all of them, but Proteus and Loki perform better at special tasks. I don’t like the Tengu in particlar, you’d have to fit it really blingy to really shine, while all the others can do their jobs in mostly T2 equipment with reasonable faction additions for key slots.

For low sec , the Loki, it’s long range webs keep you out of scram range giving the GTFO ability, you also have a couple of neuts to deal with tacklers.

Oh you need to rearrange your high slots!
G=Gun/Launcher
N=neut
c=cloak

GGNGCNGG gives you the best heat performance on your launchers.

and prop, LSE, LSE, hardener, web, web, point
gives you the best mid slot heat performance

Spread your hot mods to the edges, it makes your overheat time so much better!
