Sub-Folders for Recruiting Section

(Yun Kuai) #1

As the title suggest, I would like to further add sub folders for the recruiting section. This would allow for easier organization which would lead to an easier time finding the right person/corp/alliance you’re looking for. The basis stems from that most people are looking for an activity in a specific area of space vs just a specific activity.

I’m a player looking for… sub-folder

  1. Highsec
  2. Lowsec
  3. Nullsec
  4. WH

Corporate Recruitment sub-folder

  1. Highsec
  2. Lowsec
  3. Nullsec
  4. WH

Alliance Recruitment sub-folder

  1. Highsec
  2. Lowsec
  3. Nullsec
  4. WH

Should be a quick fix and very high QOL improvement for the forums.

As a corp CEO looking for members, this idea sounds much easier then sifting the through hundreds of other corps’ looking for new player post

Maybe tags would be appropriate?

(Yun Kuai) #4

With the current forum layout of “wall of text” its still quite hard to distinguish one topic from the next so adding tags would just add one more layer of clutter on the same page.

You know you can search on tags, right?

(Isis Loreda) #6

How do you add add tags? It doesn’t seem obvious but just started figuring out new forums yesterday.

(CCP Avalon) #7

It’s optional to add tags when you start a new topic, or edit the original post. A full list of tags available can be found here

As most people will not add the tag voluntarily, how hard is to add some additional subfolders? A quick reset on the forum post and people will naturally start to file in the correct places which means people can start recruiting easier and faster.

If we can’t do a full set of sub-folders, can we at least settle on on making a LF and Corp/Alliance Recruiting section so it’s easier to find the people looking for a new corp post.
