“If you don’t agree with me, you’re wrong.”
The only relevant point is that this does not enhance the gameplay experience at all and is thus a dumb thing to implement.
No, if you re wrong, you are wrong. Answer the simple question: If you own 300 Yachts in the real world, do you have to pay maintenance in any shape or form for 300 Yachts? Do they require a harbour? Do they require repairs and checks even if you don’t use them? Do you pay more than someone who only owns one car? Simple yes/no is sufficient.
No. I have other vehicles that just sit there and don’t cost me a dime.
Sales tax also doesn’t enhance the gameplay experience. Fuel costs don’t enhance the gameplay experience. The bigger picture is what counts, not the individual benefit. For sure, nobody wants to pay anything if he is used to get away without any payment. Thats why I totally agree its impossible to implement it now. Everyone just looks at his own wallet and cries havoc. Funny thing is, the much better political landscape we had when asset stockpiling was limited and was tied to increasing maintenance costs, is completely out of vision these days. Which is kinda sad.
If I own the dock and it’s large enough for 300 yachts, I don’t pay a damn thing to keep them there. I own it. If I buy and deploy a Fortrizar or a Keepstar and want to dock 2 Titans and 100 subcapital ships, I can do so without paying a damn thing. In the real world, I own two houses and a garage on one piece of property. I have one boat and three vehicles parked here without me paying anything to keep them here. I can park anything here that will fit.
And I don’t know how to tell you this, but in the real world, space travel isn’t a thing. This is a video game. In the real world, ships don’t travel through space at light speed. So if you really want to mirror reality, sell all of your ships because they’re not real. Up to you, dude. Either sell your ships or stop comparing this game to the real world.
You’re looking at it from the viewpoint of only sovereign null where you need to have player structures. We’ve had the ability to store infinite amounts of whatever we want in NPC stations since day one. But this proposed changed wouldn’t only affect sovereign null. It would also affect those of us who have thousands of ships and items in NPC stations and citadels in high and low sec.
I am pretty sure that is a lie, because sooner or later they will just rust away right under your nose. Every boat or car simply breaks at some point if you don’t maintain it properly. You are a complete fool (or a liar) to say otherwise. Even a goodamn bike does cost you money to replace the tires (yes even if you don’t use it becaus rubber gets old) and oil for the chain.
Again, you obviously never had a boat. Stop talking about things you simply have no idea of.
I’m reporting your posts. If you’re going to call me a liar, you better damn well have some proof behind it.
Youre right. Those do suck. All the more reason not to do this.
Fluoride promotes communism. Just saying…
