The idea is quite simple, in the player’s information window must be shown which clothes is that clone wearing at the time.
Just like the ship’s info window lets us know what skin is being used.
”This helps players to ‘brag’ if they bought a 20 bill ISK boots, and want to show them off”.
No, seriously, people buy expensive clothes but almost no one even notice what they are wearing, it is a matter of status.
This can boost the apparel market with free marketing.

I see no reason to patch that interaction out of the game.
Some apparel is indeed expensive. Many people won’t notice, many won’t care. But be sure that right now some people will notice your expensive clothes.
I like the idea, that info could be listed in an ‘Apparel’ tab on the character’s info box…

Sure, a lot of time saved when searching in the market for an interesting outfit somebody was wearing!
Especially when players are allowed to design their own apparel, or even to sell their own designs.
It’s none of your business what someone else is wearing.
